I guess so, as well as no one knows what the secret formula for valour is.
What I have heard and noticed so far, the formula is: "Your score in the round" > "average score of your team in the round" x 2 = Valour
- What are the mechanics of how banner balancing works?
They do operate differently ( at least on EU )
Bannerbalance:
- On siege there is bannerbalance every round, so after one round you are always playing with your clanmates. It doesn't matter if it is the 2nd or 5th round you join the server.
- On Battle bannerbalance is just happening after the first round. If you join after that and get on the other side then rest of your clan, you are probably stuck there the whole map.
General balancing:
On both siege and battle the system tries to keep the clans together and puts on both sides almost equal big clangroups.
After every round the system switches players so that on both sides the sum of the scores from all players is almost equal.
On siege it's more drastically because it is switching whole clans ( happened to me that my clan got switched every round to the other team and another clan vice versa ) and individuals. Clans with bigger numbers of players on the server get less likely switched.
On battle usually only some individuals, wether member of a clan or some randomer, get switched. ( Often players who made a lot of points the round before).
Of course this only what I heard and noticed in one year of playing c-rpg and I might be totally wrong
