Alright, I think it's not fair to let you guys hope until the deadline hits: 4 of the 5 things in this pack have already been voted out. The Highlander Garb has still a chance to get in, but it will be a close call.

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

Actually, I have no vote at all. And the council's decision is not open to the public, sorry.

Out of interest, could you tell us what the reasoning was behind the decision to leave them out?

Edit: (just saw Heskeytime already asked that too, would be nice to get an insight into why certain items make it and some don't)

Like I said, the discussions of the council are not open to the public. Also, they don't even have to discuss about it, they can just vote.

I am aware that this might seem like a pretty community-unfriendly approach, but the system is set up this way so that we can get items ingame in a more timely fashion than in the past. With the current two week deadline on voting, items can get ingame in a much shorter time than in the past (at least in theory, we'll have to see if it actually works out). It's my goal that it actually doesn't take much longer than those two weeks on average from my presentation to the council until you can buy them in the market.

If we demanded explanations from the council, they would be given, and they would be contested, and there would be endless discussions over details and nothing would ever get ingame. I'm not saying the current system is perfect, as can be seen in this thread, in my opinion, but I don't think it will produce a lot of bad decisions.

Also, if something doesn't get in now, it doesn't mean it won't get in later. You guys have to get some lobbying skills (just don't bother me, like I said, I have no vote).

Then why have they turned down every piece APART from the kilt? Lol. I mean the boots are hardly period specific, they just look good with northern gear.

well because the kilt is the fantasy bit :D they didn't wear kilts in medieval battles only braveheart :D

That's fair enough, but unless the people who put the effort into designing these get some sort of feedback how can they improve on their ideas? Or know what sort of things to change? Or make sure that the next cool idea that someone goes to the trouble of modelling doesn't make the same mistakes?

Like I said, they system isn't perfect. If I myself turn down a suggestion (don't even present it to the council) I will give feedback of course.

I voted yes for the garb and no to the others for various reasons, but I switched my vote to yes. I figured there's no use in being overly picky over my own personal taste when the items themselves meet quality standards. I'm no history buff, so I can't really say how far off it is (can't be worse than samurai armours).
