In this age and time a 20 days old internet thread is ancient.
You have to get around then...it depends on the site, the particular section of the site you are on, the typical traffic that section gets, and the content being discussed.
The "diplomacy" section of this page, for example, is composed of conversations taking place in real-time about current events. It would be inappropriate to bump up a topic 20 days old there.
The "historical discussion" side however, is rarely visited and is discussing topics and events that took place long ago. There is nothing cutting edge about it. The discussions move very slowly, and I check on it every week or two.
This thread, on the other hand, is
not discussing historical events and does not belong here. It consisted of two posts, near the top of the page, that are ridiculing religious practices and contributing nothing to historical discussion. It's a blight on this section. Just doing a bit of tidying up! Sure, it may be late in coming, but better late than never. I think its entirely appropriate, if you really think about it. Think about it!
