You say "try to concentrate the bonus on the same set" Then I would ask, What are the boots that are part of the Churburg Cuirass/Hourglass gauntlets/Hounskull Bascinet set? I've done some research but none of the boots in-game appear to be of the proper set. Also, is that the only helmet of the "set?".

I thought the same thing. When I hear "set" I think of the Diablo style sets which means I need to figure out exactly what boots to wear with what chest piece, etc... then continue wearing them for a period of time.

Right now, I have what I consider to be items that look good together in terms of roleplay and style. I'm still loosing a bit of money wearing the outfit, but changing to lower grade gloves or helm detracts from the overall look, so I deal with it until I "must" go light to save money. Even wearing this outfit for the very vast majority of my rounds, I have not received the message. We've had people get it while playing much less with more variety in their outfits... so right now it's very confusing to me and the carrots are not helping much.

Right now it makes me wonder if I am hurting myself by wearing what I personally think looks correct in terms of roleplay or if I need to stick with a "set" as declared in the game. Either way, it makes me think I may have to force myself to wear stuff that maybe I don't want to. I'm hoping that's not the case because most of us in TS tend to lean towards a specific look to fit our lineage.

I do the same thing Zanthos, cobble together sets for my own style  regardless of actual characteristics. I was hoping that chadz meant "sets" as in what you wear regularly, not what may be designated a "set" in the game.

I've received that message about 8 times now.  So I'm pretty sure it does mean your personal "sets" of gear.

8 times? I've been playing like a typical no lifer after the patch this weekend and I've only changed my helm and backup weapon out of my "sets" - everything else the same. I'm considering taking off my helm completely to save money but it sounds like by the path we've been led on this bonus is that changing items out hurts your chance of the bonus... which makes me think I should keep it on.

I'm not so sure that's all there is to it unless you are joking about 8 times or my adjustment of helm or secondary weapon over the last couple days completely killed my chances of it.

there's gotta be something else triggering it then... of my items, my chest is heirloomed once, heavy lance 3 times, the rest isn't at all. I'm going to just say screw it, go to my fur hat to keep my character how I want it to look overall but reduce cost, drop my side weapon, and hope someone else figures it out.

I am thinking that he means your loadout set, not a particular armor set.

I have been wearing the same armor set for a few days now the Kayuk (42 armor one,) leather gloves, pigface Klappvisier, mail chausses, lance, and powerful poleaxe with a palfrey and I have got the message twice (frist time was with the heavy lance changed to the lance today and got the message a round in.) But all in all I think it changes your WPF prove me wrong since this is just a suggestion and I don't remember having 126 in polearms perhaps this is what it is?

I dunno, prepatch I had about 139 wpf and after I had 140 for some odd reason (Now it is 150 something due to leveling), but that may have been due to the plague of glitches that my main has been subjected to.

Same here, and my duel set isn't the same as my website loadout.

there can sometimes be a quite long delay syncronising between the game server and the crpg database. If its triggered by some game event (could be the case since both gorath and gorethooth are good players and they got the message multiple times), you could get the message a few seconds/minutes(?) later. It`s also likely that there some randomness in it to keep us guessing.

So far i'm very happy about this - one thing i like alot about crpg is to be able to recognize people by their outfit.
