link would be nice im curious as in how the system works then, since the ingame search dous show the brackets, and ive watched merlinis stream quite alot, he has like ~70% winrate, and his team to,  but the rest of the people he plays with usually dont. having 55% + winrate is very rare if u dont premade shitloads, with a synergized team. so i wonder if you have the time to elaborate

As far as Matchmaking is concerned none of those buckets exist - We match on a continuous scale.

The labels that we use to sort replays are independent of matchmaking and were intended for players who want to find a high level game with a hero they want to learn.

How matchmaking works in DotA:

>Look for a possible English mate/opponent.
>Scanned 5 meter area outside your house.
>Does not find a Dota player.
>Insert random Russian out of leaver pool queue.

And this repeats itself 8 times after.

We had a team of 5 from the UK today vs a team of 5 from Ukraine. We lost but mostly because they had Warlock skewing the team fights their way. Had a second game where we dominated 46/14 though so made up for it. Funny thing was we picked sniper for me and one guy in our team (randomer) laughed and said he was crap. Within 10 mins I had 5 kills and was 3 levels ahead of their best hero and dealing enough damage to kill rubick, and lion in 3-4 shots. Then it was a simple matter of chasing their team across the map with Nyx and Spirit Breaker with me finishing off any runners.

Damn, Enchantress is so much fun.

I decided to pick it beause the enemy had a lot of melee, ended up with a gyrocopter in lane.

I don't like jungling so decided to actually help him out instead. Dunno if it's a bad idea but it kinda worked.
Thanks to the untouchable aura and that amazing heal skill, Tusk and Slark jumped on us 3 times, but Gyro killed them.
In the end he pulled off a 16/0 or something, made him real fat while also tried to kill some stuff myself too :3

Managed to secure a lot of kills too, lots of fun.

Yeah Enchantress is a really good hero, went mid with her, did pretty well, around 12-2-5. Sadly I lost connection and by the time I cam back my teammates had sold all my items ...

Should play her as jungle though, sometimes i even go midas with her. Not too hard to jungle, just grab one creep with W then kill other creeps, and occasionally gank lane.

Yeah one of our guys often jungles with her and midas and gets some ridiculous scores sometimes. I used to think enchantress was awful as I'd never seen her played well. Now my opinion has completely changes.

After a difficult lane I managed to get some free farm when the rest of the team was fighting, you can say it paid out really good for us
