For anyone interested this is my current Clockwerk build :P

The drum should be switched mid game though, if you decide to get it earlier, its just to keep my speed a bit higher for a short period, or I just stick to it depending on the game.
I might be noob, but why would you only get cogs at lvl5? Isn't that like the ultimate skill for lvl1-5 early ganks?

Well perhaps, but I find it better to spec on rockets and flare early in, cogs take up more mana and is not as effective when last hitting with rockets and using flares to take down creeps quickly, also good for helping teammates and do ministun on their chaser etc.

Cog is great for escape and killing, a must get for me at lvl 1. As an offlaner you can also trap your creeps in the cogs, pushing lane further towards your tower. That said, there is no need to max your cogs out until later  :P

If your mid is struggling using flare to push the creeps and damage the enemy mid is an awesome way of getting the advantage there and often you can spam it enough to get the enemy mid low enough for an easy gank from two people.

You have no idea how many flare kills I have picked off on other lanes and retreating enemies just about to reach fountain :P

The best way of using it  :P One of our guys is good at that. We also have another one who uses Invokers skill (sun strike? EMP? Not sure which one it is as I don't know Invoker) and has a knack for killing invis chars as they are running from a fight. So satisfying catching Rikki or Drow running away with that skill.
