It's attack range is avarage. (450 range as defined in warcraft, many range heroes have 600 or something close)

Seems higher. I often struggle to out range him with sniper. I think it's partly attributed to his passive slow on attack as well. Seeing as if you get it you can't run so it's near impossible to stay out of range all the time.

That's probably the issue. Dota is a very offensive tactic based game. If you get caught in the wrong position you're easily screwed. That might even mean taking an arrow from mirana to the face from miles away. So there are no safe places there. Don't even count on towers as 5 guys simply kill you and go out easily.

Viper has 575 range, Sniper has 550 (extendable to 850 using the skill).

I love playing support, omniknight, earthshaker, you get the idea.  I hate playing support with pubs, if I hear some 7-14 viper complaining about my 0-6-15+ again I don't know what I'll do. 

Its just frustrating.

I feel you. Was playing as Omni with Axe at top lane. He started insulting me and whatnot because I didn't heal him, when all he did was to run into Chaos Knight and Venomancer all by himself. And when I was close to him in the battles he didn't even notice that I was the one getting stunned from Chaos Knight, people like that, who rage on other players because they are the ones being careless and not paying attention to your teammates location should just take a long break from the game.

Was fun playing with Tor and crew, Lifestealer + IMBA fed TA is kinda funny. I'd Infest TA, Tor would then grab a rune like haste or DD if lucky and then we'd just find a target. Nobody could do shit.

Although I was screwing up a bit in early game that lost me 1-2 kills, accidentally did Open Wounds on a creep and Lina ran away alive.
