Well sure, pro players get their viewers for the gameplay but its kinda self-explanatory, people can learn a lot from watching good players. Then there are other streamers which get monies from being entertaining, where the actual game is not really the main sellingpoint, but only supporting and making the streamer able to pull off jokes etc..
Sometimes it does seem silly how some streamers get so much money, like Cohhcarnage, that guy is incredibly boring and isnt particularly good at games... but he interracts with his chat and viewers in a way that makes neckbeards feel part of something bigger and so they donate. Twitch is a weird place.
