But daily hero challenges are more hurtful than not imo, people will be playing heroes in ranked that they don't know how to play... on top of people playing heroes with new immortals...

Wtf? I just looked at this last match and one of the guys on the enemy team has ~2000 games under his belt. That's more then 10x what I have.

I wonder if that Bristleback on my team had a similar amount, all he did was yell at me all game. I didn't feed (at least not at the beginning) but I probably could've had more impact if it wasn't my first time playing Shadow Fiend.

I also feel like something is off in the hero selection for random draft because I've had it random for me more times than I can count because I don't realize it's my turn. I was first pick but it didn't play the "your turn to pick" audio and looking up for the yellow brackets over my char portrait I didn't see them.

I abandoned this one because I told them at the beginning that I had no supports to pick (they all decided on carries) and then for some reason when I tried to mute two of the guys because they wouldn't shut up about reddit or something it wouldn't work.

The tipping point for me was repeatedly getting ditched even though they were following me all over the map after the early game. I would attempt to initiate with CK's illusions, they would immediately back off, let me die, and then try and engage afterwards and we would get wiped.

Needless to say I had a bad day yesterday.

- higher mmr dude stacked with lower mmr people, in which case you probably got a counterweight on your team, or:
- zero talent

That's true, but there's a difference between balance and teammates yammering on about nothing. Maybe it was a bad idea to engage when we had two fairly late game carries on the team but if that's the case go farm and don't stand behind me like you're going to do something once shit goes down. I had a pretty good early game but then things just went downhill quickly when people get caught out of position and then move away when they were actually in an advantageous one.

I'm a bad player myself but I at least try to exercise some decision making and thought during the course of the game.

One mistake I notice people do as a carry is when there is a stalemate they tend to slack off behind with everyone else when they are losing a lot of lane farm. So many times I've seen my carry stay mid waiting for a clash when we have a 5v5 situation in mid where both sides just wait. Better to have a few TP scrolls on you can farm the lane forcing the enemy to stop their oncoming push on your lane tower instead of losing farm and sitting back waiting.

You get flamed if you don't stay, or don't join the dance party

it lasts for a long time, even 5 minutes or so until somebody makes the dumbest mistake or forces the most cringe-worthy initiation into a teamfight.

Then, you get flamed again.

You should never stand around at tower waiting for teamfight to happen as a carry, go push other lanes, force a tp, or just tp to tower when they actually attack.
