Limit troops in Strategus

Make a freaking limit so we don't get endless troops, imo defensive factions have a great favor with the current system, plus these silly Cold Wars are just borink.

Something similar to EU3's Force Limit would be awesome.

I don't like the idea.  If you go on an offensive war, you should be at a disadvantage against people who haven't been expending their resources (troops, gold, equipment, goods, etc).

Same with a prolonged war in your lands, it's going to eventually wear you down, while the enemy is still able to build up in their lands.

Just seems like it goes against the nature of a strategy game.  my 2 cents

In reality the number of troops you're limited to is dependent upon your resources. I agree that it's very easy to sustain a massive standing army in strategus because gold is the only thing required, but I don't feel that we should limit the number of troops you can have with a hard cap. If there were a system for food requirements, or population in all of your fiefs determined your faction's maximum troop count things might be more interesting. However given that the dev team is focusing most of their creative energies and time on getting M:BG together I doubt there's any large strategus overhauls coming for a long time (if ever).

With that said I'm going to have to say nay to the idea of troop caps, mostly because HUGE BATTLEZ11!!.

It is, but not for fiefs.
Having 8k on a player gets you broke in an hour, having 20k in a castle is manageable

That's why we should be able to bring along caravans of whores for all our men. That way they won't leave, even if we can't pay them.

Thought it was just alot lower so you could actually have ~5k in the fiefs.
Maybe the upkeep should be increased a little bit then if they go above 5k? =)

The upkeep formula is already pretty much exponential and very prohibitive.

Have no graph formula above 1K but if it stays on the same course, I believe it is enough

On the left, what does 20,00 mean?  2000 gold, 20 gold?

And I'm assuming this is per day, also assuming the bottom line is troop amounts?
