What the hell is a Wushu ?

Kung-fu and wushu are terms that have been borrowed into English to refer to Chinese martial arts. The term wushu has also become the name for the modern sport of wushu, an exhibition and full-contact sport of bare-handed and weapons forms (Chinese: 套路, pinyin: tàolù), adapted and judged to a set of aesthetic criteria for points developed since 1949 in the People's Republic of China.[2][3]

I was searching for a really "good" MMO to start and play with some friends, also found this (like a month ago). But I couldn´t get an account or something, then read it was closed beta, and just saved the link of the website and went along. But I thought: Looks nice, sounds nice, has a really nice setting.


Now I have to try it

Hehe yeah. Sadly EU has the real closed beta, so we'll have to stick to NA until EU opens

Not that I noticed. All is Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon style Kung-Fu basically. Depending on which school / skill set you pick you get the right weaponset. It's either fists, fist weapons, dual blades, one blade, dual daggers, staff, from what I noticed, but there's probably more. There doesn't seem to be any "real" magic in the game.

Afaik not really, but players do drop some money on their death, I guess that can be looted.

Just found out there's also team buffs/skill called.. forgot the name

Basically the team (party) leader initiates the buff skill, you get this circle thing on the floor, two other teammates have to get inside and you all get a minor buff. On top of that it also unlocks/opens additional skills you can then use in combat

Also, there's these gossip type of missions. You go around and talk to NPCs to gather information, you talk to the right NPC and a random event triggers. At least that's what the guide says, I have yet to test this

Downloaded it and giving it a try atm... seems really solid so far.

I have some "Spy"-mission from my... umm... class-boss-chick... anyway... no idea what to do

Oww... and I got a skill with which I can buff people... dunno really what it does yet but... well... it's sooo much to read

Played it for like 15 minutes, the animations seemed really buggy and didn't really feel like putting a huge amount of effort into figuring it out.

Also really annoyed by these "tips" that keep telling me to buy the game.

Question to anybody who may know it:

If I just play a "trial" character and that on the "wrong" (so NA and not EU) server, any things I do will be lost when it releases and I play on the EU servers, right?

Well, I don't actually know but there may be a slight chance that you could be able to keep the char and switch server. I mean it's not out of the question but I wouldn't count on it or expect it to be something "buyable" in their shop or something.

No, 99% chance that you won't be able to keep your char, since the publisher for NA is different than for EU.

Been pretty busy lately and didn't have much time to play it. You must also know that you can only play one hour per day after the 10 hour trial is over, unless you pay.
