Blacksmith services are currently bid on it and take a +3 and get 2 heirloom points but in reality you can trade your mw item for 2 heirloom points and most of the time receive gold as well so I propose we make blacksmith services refund 3 heirloom points as this would increase the value of it and way more people would find this useful

But yes, if you bought an elders stick prior to this change and got a cheap blacksmith service (because for some reason you didn't want a sweet elders stick), it would be in your favor.

I think it would add a lot more value to BS service and it will become balanced.

Think about it: you buy them for 400k and than transform your 700k value stick into 3 loompoints, and than sell for 1400k. Your profit is 300k right? Than it would cost even more.
But I doubt you will get a +3 for less than 900k. (Unless you get it in more than 1 trade)

You're right. It could fix many things, like disproportion of prices between items and between items and loom points. Difference in price between "worthless" +3 item and OP but rare stuff would become a lot less prominent than it is now.

IMO a blacksmith service giving 3 LP would very elegantly balance itself. Due to the increased utility, the price would rise and more money would be spent on the auction (= goldsink). The price of +3 junk items would rise too, slightly increasing the transaction volume and the total marketplace tax money being spent. Although of course after a craze period, the increasing cost of the blacksmith auction will keep those prices from increasing much.

I think doing this could bump the price of the blacksmith to around 400k quite easily.
