Why cRPG is Fun
cRPG is the most fun mod/game I have ever played. I started playing it more than two years ago when I was really bad. As I started playing more, I kept getting better at the game until I became pretty good. During this time that I was having so much fun, there was no such thing as retiring and the servers reset every 30 minutes to update equipment, there was no upkeep, and you actually earned whatever weapons and armor you buy because you had to work for that money. Then they came out with the new gold and xp system, which I didn’t like when it first came out, and the new “retirement” system. I never chose to retire until recently. I didn’t like both of these at first, but as I kept playing over the weeks/months I started to like it because first of all, you can make different alts and not have to worry about grinding as much as you had to during the first stages of cRPG, and secondly, the retirement loom system allowed people to have their own special weapons/armors with upgraded stats. A little after that came the marketplace system.
All this time playing cRPG there have been so much changes and additions which make the game even more fun. This includes the continuous addition of patches and fixes, as well as new weapons and armor, game modes, and additions to the mod (such as retirement system and marketplace). It’s good because it lets you try new things and always keeps the mod new every time you play. Along with the additions and the mod itself comes the great Mount and Blade melee system. It isn’t like any other game. You can actually take on groups of people and come out with no HP lost unlike every other action game like Call of Duty where you can’t really take on a group of people, and games like Skyrim where the melee system sucks. The blocking system and chambering as well as kicking allows you to have nice duels with other players, which was what I spent most of my time on when there was people there. As well as making you mad when you get killed by another guy in the duel server, you can get better by dueling them over and over again. This will, most of the time, carry off in the battle and siege servers. The melee system in Mount and Blade is probably the main reason that makes cRPG and the game fun.
All of these things, from the blocking system, constant updates on cRPG, and the expanding player base, make cRPG only better each time you play it. Without these, I think the game would get old for me eventually, but it never does. This is why I have 4,000+ Hours on M&B (Mainly cRPG) and not even close to as many hours on any other game. Thus being said, I think cRPG is the best game I have ever played and provides thousands of hours of fun that no other game will ever supply.
