Prince Joffrey Baratheon has gold hair when every single Baratheon before him had black hair. Tommen and Myrcilla also are gold (the younger children of Cersie and Robert). Further more, Sansa says quite pointedly, Joffrey isn't like Robert at all.  This suggests that they are not Robert's children.

It would take someone really dense to miss that one considering Bran caught the Queen ( Cersei ) and her brother Jaime Lannister commiting hardcore incest, in a way that suggested they had been doing it for a while and will continue doing so. I haven't even read the books and I had a strong guess that the Kings 'children' really weren't his children, but were Jaime Lannisters. I also am guessing that their reason to do this is to claim the throne for the Lannisters bloodline, or something of that sorts anyway.

why should it be different in the series? But your right, as far as i recall they didn't mentioned it so far.

Its getting really better and better. And the story is slowly getting started as well.

I had to shudder as Ned sent Beric after the mountain, to think of what will become of Beric and his small host and how this could be considered a beginning of a War still lasting (at Book 4).
