Even though from the leaks I completely expected it. The WildFireMania made me kinda sick. Like the Red Wedding. Although not quite as much. Pycelle was a fun character. High Sparrow was cool and Margaery was a cool chick and one of the last cool women on the show that aren't cringy and all entitled.

As for R+L=J pretty much being confirmed. I mean I guess it's kinda cool. As long as they don't force a JonXDaenerys relationship.

And King In The North was awesome. So was Frey Pie. Probably 8/10 episode imo. Ending ruined it a bit. Dragon whore got 3 season endings now. (Out of 6...wtf).

Whats bothering me is the sheer overkill of danys forces to retake iron throne. The prospect of dany taking the throne is no longer exciting in the series as no one will oppose her.

Did she really need dorne and tyrells ontop of ironfleet+dothraki+unsullied+dragons? I mean who is actually for queen cersei at this point?

Not the north they have bigger problems, not the vale, not really anyone but lannister + freys. Both of which will be considerably weaker now that they have both lost leaders since kevan and walder died.

There is a bigger power vacuum than ever before, and yet instead of 5 kings, we have basically every body on danys side and no real opposition at this point.

Even without dany landing, tyrell and dorne could take the iron throne right now. It seemed unrealistic that cersei could even crown herself she has so little support that you'd think the mob from the destruction would simply uprise and oust her.

it just feels really really oversimplified at this point, I just want the book version.

So now it seems as though the 7 kingdoms (cersei) have the basically no allies, and must rely on only lannister forces... meanwhile good ole dany has the world's largest army plus dragons. I bet at this point there won't even be a fight to conquer westeros. seems like cersei will get killed by jaime and then people will just accept dany as their new overlord seeing no better alternative. All this just in time for dany and her dragons to help jonny fight off the undead (fire+ice), leading to jon x dany on the iron throne, and everyone is happy.


I can only hope that almost none of the above happens, as that would be too cliche at this point. We need some grrm-tier plot twists to happen next season, otherwise it will only go downhill from here.

I bet the North is going to join the Night King because as soon as he is defeated "winter is coming" would not be half as ominous as a slogan. Seriously though, the odds are stacked so much against the Lannisters that it will be three episodes until it is a Lord of the Rings-esque "kumbaya let us all unite and fight the evil dark forces together". I haven't really considered this so far because it seemed far down the line before the ridiculous pacing started, but the White Walkers seem very black and white, "evil for the sake of evil" bad guys. Very uncharacteristic for the series, I hope there is a catch, otherwise this will be dull.

They need him to be the director for all future episodes and then GRRM to write the episodes (he's practically done with Winds Of Winter anyhow)
