Suggestion: Strategus weather conditions

The topic name says it, this suggestion is about making a weather system for the strategus map.

It would be a system with moving clouds over the map, which will represent a weather condition.  Some clouds are rain, some snow, others sandstorms etc.
This way you can plan on what condition you want to fight.

Examples:
An enemy is near your lands, and you see a raincloud on the map. You take out an army pure melee, and lure the enemy in there. You will have the advantage, because ranged is nerfed in the rain.
You want to attack an enemy castle, but the enemy always kills your ladders because they see where they will land, Wait for fog or a sandstorm, and you will be on the walls before they notice!
You are way overstocked on ranged, make sure you attack your enemy when you are not in a raincloud!

Off course if would also influence your movementspeed on the map.

Examples:
Rain, you become slightly slower, and rainclouds are a common thing in certain area's.
Sandstorm, You become almost locked down, but sandstorms are a rare occurance that only happens in the desert.

Okiii, thats enough text.

Will this improve strat, and will it be worth the effort put in it?

So, do you want the option to fight like this:

Or you want to be the dick that attacks in a sandstorm?

Idea is good, there should be a new modus on strat then; which makes the clod like an transparent overlay.

would need seasons :P

winter attacks etc are more likely to encounter snow etc while summer is the best time for clear skies.

Winter should also decrease your line of sight as you would have few scouts out making it a nice time to sneak up on people but movement would be slowed and poor weather ^^

if you wanted to go even more in depth add attrition for winter but then we might as well play Europa :D

I like the idea of seasons effecting the strategus map even more than the actual battles.

winter, some mountain passes are impassible, higher upkeep, slower movement.
spring flooding closes some bridges
summer it's easier to move

you get the idea.

I like Loki's season suggestions as well as Hoboes weather (that you can see on the strat map) suggestion.  I was picturing it in my head as the clouds from Sid Meier's Pirates!

I like how season's or weather can affect line of sight, but I still think fief information needs to be removed unless you're nearby...(I'm going to put this in every post I can work it into, so bear with me).
