PT/PD and wpf problem
« on: December 13, 2012, 02:02:00 pm »

I started getting the "proficiency too low" message recently, and I'm sure I never got it before, with the same build and equipment.

I have 6 PT, 120 throwing wpf, open sallet with coif, rus scale armor, hourglass gauntlets and mail chausses and the web calculator tells me this :

    Armor Weight: 23.3
    Effective Armor Weight: 22.9
    Effective WPF: 32
    WPF penalty from weight: 10
    WPF penalty from PT/PD: 78

So I should have an excess 32 wpf, yet I get the message ingame. It started yesterday however I was inactive for about 2 weeks before. It was also the first time I played with WSE 2.

Posted this in the beginners section, still no answer so I guess maybe it is linked to WSE2, although I don't see how.

Anyone knows what is wrong ?

Thanks for your time.

Web calculator is outdated. Do you get the message in normal client?

Yes I do.

Also the welcome text of EU_2 is messed up (saying it's NA_2).

Then it's just the calculator being outdated.
Fixed the message.

Is asking for throwing weight formula too much to ask for?

I won't be asking for a respecfund, that's not that big an issue for me as I'm not that far from 32 and I can change my setup anyway.

However, could the game unbalancers please tell us what formula changed ? The PT penalty formula ? The weight penalty formula ? If so, what is the new one ? I know you guys don't like min-maxing but really, obfuscating the game mechanics is not the ideal way to avoid it.

Btw since I have a thread for myself, WSE2 is awesome. Thank you a lot.

Edit : changed "can't" into "can". derp.
