Dont know about Europe, but in Russia the celebration goes from 30th till 14th(New Year(official(no work) holidays from 30th till 8th), Christmas(7th), Old New Year(14th)).

would be nice if it was like 22nd (just before xmas) untill like 3rd of january (after new years eve). That should give the playerbase enough time to get back after spending time with their loved ones/hated family =)

I remember allot of drama from last year, both russian attacking on our holidays and later the other way around.
