Horse Throwing

Anyone actively play as a mounted thrower,

I use a 12/24 build with heavy throwing axes and a steppe horse.

Not that powerful but I do get some nice kills each round.

Any tips would be greatfuly received and it would also be nice to see who else plays this class.

had a private message by Zlisch some months ago with some useful tips and his build:

Horse Archery is needed, else you'll not hit when fighting more than 4 cav and being fullspeed.

My personal favorite builds are:

And you'll have 4 skill points left to spend on whatever you want, like ps, ath, or more shield.
I'd advice using throwing spears and a 1slot shield, no other weapons.

This is my build when I'm level 30, it ain't that great until 31 though, becomes excellent at 32, at 33 you'll have PS and therefore be a demigod.


Well, with my shielder build you could have 4 shield, 4ps, and like 50-100 wpf if you wear light armor (cloth) you can still throw effectively.

You'd better use war darts. They are more accurate than axes and 6 per stack. The horse speed gives you a damage bonus. Fits well for cav IMO.

You don't get a speed bonus for range when you are on a horse.
