Alright, quick question:

Im thinking about laying down 44k for a cataphract horse. Thing is, I've heard it said on the forums that armored horses will be removed from the game, come the new patch.

Is this true? Cause if it is, I'll save my cash.

I asked in-game, but it's troll central in there, and 95% of the time, you can't get a straight answer. Thanks!

They won't be removed, but you have to pay maintenance which makes it nearly impossible to use them.

They won't be removed, this has been confirmed. However, the upkeep will make it really costly to use them. You can still use them once in a while, but you will have to use a much cheaper one for most of the time.

too many people care about upkeep and the patch, thinking that the patch will remove heavy horses and and armor is a joke, the patch to remove plated archers only brought armored HA's  :|

If you try actually running the numbers you will see that is not the case.  Armored horses will be easy to use if you can win half your battles, but you will only be able to use it every other round.  (this also will let you bring some moderate equipment to go with it)
