New rules?

So i was playing on NA_1 and then i asked grannpappy who happened to be on, if he is american. He then proceeded to mute me. I dont care that i was muted i just want to know if this is a new rule of some sort. Are people allowed to ask someone else what their nationality is, or not? If we are then this is abuse.

No drama....this is literally the whole story. He was telling some guy to change his name because it was against the rules, and then i said a few times that it wasnt all that offensive. He didnt react to that however since it was a little while before i asked him if he is american. Then he muted me. As i said i dont care about the mute, Im just honestly curious if this is allowed or if it's not, i mean after all wouldnt want to get banned for it now would I?

Also noticing admins using "show names cheat" when it is not warranted. For instance at the start of map when fog is on..

It took me time to get through the ban and responding to the person I was enforcing the rules over. I dealt with one person at a time. You didn't get muted until last. Lucky you. Next time play the game and you wont have to be concerned over a mute.

It really is terrible when admins enforce the rules in spite of the grousing that inevitably takes place. They should all just cave to the will of the trolls.

I'm biased but whatever... still want to respond to this.

Mind you people often team wound at the start of the round, so we're probably checking the name of the faulty.

Also just to point it out on foggy map if you want to find where the other team spawned you can press P and see the battalion flag... YOU CAN CHEAT TO! awesome news!

Well like you said if the admin was looking for enemy spawn then he should be hitting P. Not showing names so that nobody can sneak up on him and he knows where everyone is.

I am just making sure you realize after we hit B - (Show names cheat), as soon as we let go, the cheat is toggled off. I HIGHLY doubt any admin runs around fighting people with B held down. Now leave me alone while I go find some tape.

I can vouch for all of the admins that posted before me on this thread; I have never seen them do anything unreasonable and in the few discretion-related conversations I've had, they have indeed seemed unbiased and level headed. What this guy is posting about cannot be the whole story, anyway it is a mute, come on!
