Playing with my T-54 is really making me appreciate playing on lower tiers. Every other cunt is just spamming gold ammo on these high tier battles, fucksakes.

Just now, driving my T-54, tier10 battle, assault as attacking team. Rush towards a decent position... blam, a fucking amx13 90, with a full clip of gold ammo appears. Miss my first snapshot, as this purple wn8 (wonder how?) cunt just parks there and plants 4+ penetrating hits in me from long range, through angled frontal armor, all gold and sets me on fire.

World of Wallets, more like. As someone, who doesn't use premium ammo and consumables (except for whatever stuff i've got tons of from missions) because fair play (silly me, right?), just what is the fucking point sometimes...

This, so much this.  Youll never not see that garbage, and its depressing to play with them too, because you know you arent necessarily being outskilled, you are just being outpaid.  If theyd just remove the gold rounds altogether, the game would be much much better in my opinion.  Ive complained about it since i started playing world of tanks, but itll never change, its just apart of the free to play aspect, and thats why the whole e-sports side of world of tanks is a sham, atleast in my opinion.  No proper matchmaking, gold rounds, and pin point accurate guns.

IS-6 is a known gold slinger, everytime i see them, they are shooting gold.

Honestly, i think i've paid like close to 100$ to WG, for premium account, cosmetics, some XP conversion and garage/barracks slots. I'd be perfectly fine with even paying a monthly sub, as long as i don't have to deal with this pay2win shit.

I used to have a Maus... it seriously felt like just another paper tank in t10 because of gold ammo. It was a very very sad experience to play any matches in it (the crown of the line which is supposed to be your reward in a way).
I then realized that I only like tier 7 and 8.

For quite some time now premium ammunition has been available for credits. The same goes for premium consumables. They are just as much part of the game as skycancer. No pay to win. No wallet warriors.

I wouldn`t really want to play this game without premium ammo. German and Russian heavies would be OP as fuck. CW would be once again be IS7 and E5 only... (+Skycancer ofc).

I only played a couple of games with you and I`m not surprised
The same could have happened if a 50B would have caught you. The problem here isn`t premium ammo but the fact that you were caught out in the open with your pants around your ankles.

The turret front is just as vulnerable as the E100`s. You need to angle that shit....
Not angling your turret in German t10 heavies is like not angling your front in a Tiger II and expecting to bounce shots visitors can't see pics , please register or login

idgaf when premium ammo or consumables became open to the public, if they are so far out of reach of the public being able to use them nonstop, but others are completely okay with opening the wallet to do it, then thats pay to win, simple as that.  I cant shoot all premium ammo, and have chocolate, prem toolkits, and extinguishers on my tanks without going broke pretty quick  More then likely, just like ptx said, the instant you see some stat padding purple my old friend, he is more then likely shooting nothing but gold ammo, so yes, im being outpaid not outplayed.

As for the supposed "heavily armored tanks", thats a myth, there are only a select few tanks in the game with armor even worth a damn, the rest have to be so fucking angled at all times it still doesnt help anyways, theyll just shoot a weakspot, making all your work for not anyways, cough cough, kv-4.....

Well, if you spend your game in a medium tank hiding in some bushes well behind other teammates, then, yeah, i guess gold ammo is not an issue for you.

If, however, you play mediums aggressively, trying to push flanks and, y'kno, actually make use of armor strongpoints (such as the T-54 turret, and, against certain tanks, angled hull front armor), then a guy simply loading up a gold shell and suddenly rendering all of your armor irrelevant is kind of a big deal.

And no, i wasn't caught in the open, playing at the front does make you vulnerable to being yolo'ed by gold spammers.

I checked the battle outcome of that one game with the T-54. That AMX13 90 had done nothing else during the game, apart from yolo - unloading that single clip in my angled frontal armor. 2nd place in team by XP, probably good WN8. Gee-fucking-gee.

Yes, this. Gold ammo is straight up superior to regular AP ammo and pretty much renders most armor obsolete in most cases. The only reason why not everyone is using it is a pay-wall. That is the very definition of pay2win.

I don't frequent WoT forums often - has anyone ever suggested that, for example, premium accounts could get access to a separate battle MM, in which gold ammo/consumables/etc is unavailable?

As I already pointed out while we were playing... I see no reason whatsoever to be near the frontlines in a paper tank like the Lorraine 40t.

The main reason why premium ammo isn`t an issue for me is because I stopped playing "heavily" armored tanks because they are useless. Or atleast I stopped relying on my armor. My M103 is being shot through the turret front by equal tier tanks, my E75 is getting shot through the turret front by t10s and by gold-slinging t9s. The moment in WoT which made me loose faith in armor was an Obj268 penning the turret front of my IS7 with his ridiculous 400 pen APCR shell.
