    Below lies my section o'Builds!

    Notes
    • All below builds were created at the time of a specific patch; however they may be changed to suit current patches if they are relevant
    • Builds may not have gone through testing before being specified
    • Builds that I am interested in are builds that I may pursue and I am interested in stronger variants
    • Strong builds are builds that have gone through extensive testing and have been proven to work (in my case {I am Australian; beware})
    • Fun builds are builds that are enjoyable to use; they may or may not be effective
    • This page is constantly being added to and modified; please bear with me!
    • Items listed are only recommended items; please suggest/use something else if you would rather

    Builds interested in
    Possible 2h/thrower hybrid build?
Goedendag, Jarids, Blue Morion, Black Lamellar Armour, Light Strange Gloves, Eastern Lamellar Greaves
    Strength: 18
    Agility: 18
    Skills to attributes: 2
    Ironflesh: 5
    Power Strike: 6
    Athletics: 6
    Power Throw: 6
    Weapon Master: 6
    Two Handed: 129
    Throwing: 106

    Possible cavalry build?
Lance, Quarter Staff, light-medium armor, heavy if you can afford it.
    Strength: 21
    Agility: 15
    Hit Points: 60
    Skills to attributes: 2
    Ironflesh: 2
    Power Strike: 7
    Shield: 5
    Athletics: 5
    Riding: 5
    Weapon Master: 5
    Polearm: 148

    Possible Horse Crossbro build?
Shortened Spear / QuarterStaff?, Light Crossbow, Steel Bolts, Desert Horse, Blue Morion? (possibly too expensive and heavy), Light Strange Gloves, Light Strange Greaves. With this build:
    Strength: 12
    Agility: 24
    Skills to attributes: 2
    Power Strike: 4
    Iron Flesh: 3
    Athletics: 4
    Riding: 6
    Horse Archery: 4
    Weapon Master: 8
    Polearm: 109
    Crossbow: 150

    Strong builds
    Powerful, slow infantry build
    Strength: 24
    Agility: 15
    Skills to attributes: 8
    Ironflesh: 5
    Power Strike: 8
    Athletics: 5
    Weapon Master: 5
    Two Handed: 148
Swap out 2h proficiency for whatever you wish, could use a shield but would require a decrease in attributes.

    Plausible turtle build
    Strength: 9
    Agility: 27
    Skills to attributes: 2
    Power Strike: 3
    Shield: 9
    Athletics: 9
    Weapon Master: 8
    One Handed: 173
Recommend Rondel Dagger (fighting pick for using no shield) and metal shield (steel buckler is probably the best), light armor
Sheath shield for bonus vs shield fights; high armor/low hp shields break very quickly vs axes and slow vs swords

    Balanced Archer Build
    Strength: 21
    Agility: 18
    Skills to attributes: 8
    Power Strike: 5
    Athletics: 5
    Power Draw: 7
    Weapon Master: 6
    One Handed: 50
    Archery: 152
Use Long Bow, Hammer and very light armor. Can use one bag of arrows and a 1 slot weapon (would be best to put wpf into 2h/polearm in this case)[/list]

    Fun Builds

    Shieldinator
    Strength: 3
    Agility: 39
    Skills to attributes: 14
    Power Strike: 1
    Shield: 13
    Athletics: 3
    One Handed: 114
Use any low tier shield for hilarity (I believe for some reason low tier shields=more durable than high tier? Not sure why but this is what I experienced) and preferably Nordic Short Sword as it is the only semi plausible weapon you can hehe

    Shotgun Archer
    Strength: 30
    Agility: 12
    Skills to attributes: 14
    Power Strike: 3
    Power Draw: 10
    Weapon Master: 4
    One Handed: 46
    Archery: 135
Use 6 difficulty bow (preferable LongBow) and unleash 1 shot volleys upon all.

    Great Lance Speedinator
    Strength: 12
    Agility: 30
    Skills to attributes: 14
    Power Strike: 4
    Riding: 10
    Weapon Master: 3
    Polearm: 133
Use a light horse (Arabian WarHorse is best for accuracy of lances, almost guaranteed 1 hit kills) and obviously Great Lance/Jousting Lance for knockdown fun

I would recommend a light lance, lance, heavy lance or great lance combined with a iron staff, shortened spear, spear or war spear.

You can use a poleaxe(support) or elegant(dueling) but the repairs are going to be steep as horses aren't cheap  :o

Also no point in having shield skill. Put those 3 points somewhere else.

Yeah I was thinking Great Lance for the supreme length and damage. I do not mind the high upkeep so it shouldn't be a problem :). Also why those weapons? They are quite weak even when used by a pure infantry. I will only use the shield when I am on horseback to have some cover from ranged enemies which I think is more important than 3 more ironflesh. Thanks for advice :)

If you want to have decent ground-fighting, I wouldn't suggest bothering with a shield. It'll just take up skill points as well as an item slot.

Lance takes up 2 slots, poleaxe of your choice for when you hit the ground takes up 2 slots. So unless you're going hoplite on the ground, don't bother with the shield really.

Damn I didn't think about slots. Are there any decent 0 slot shields? The only thing shield will impair is my ironflesh, which I don't really feel is as important as avoiding ranged attacks when I'm on my horse.

avoiding ranged attacks when I'm on my horse.

Shields don't really help with this. Maneuver is better. Ranged players have a hard time hitting cav that change directions and speed frequently.

One of the two tiny shields were 0 slot if I remember correctly, but I think that was changed. Either way, I wouldn't rely on it.

Good point. I think I'll ditch the shield idea and grab some more ironflesh. Is Destrier a good all round horse?

dude those weapons are fast and strong what you talking about.  give me that little stick with 7ps and 148 pole and I will beat you down lol. remember that this game is skill based.

yes the destrier is a beast of a horse.

I used a +3 Quarter Staff for quite a long time so I know what I'm talking about :). Also I find feinting is impeding my ability to retain playing this game so I'm going to hold more often than feinting.
Also, Lance or Great Lance? I know crpg cav is different to native etc but I wouldn't much like not being able to stab with a lance but the immense length and damage would be nice, not sure how they compare overall but yeaaah.

Hey, I've been a two hander for the past few gens and I'm getting extremely bored of it. Some time ago I tried using a Poleaxe and it was immense fun and I would like to meddle with cav as well.
    I was thinking of using this equipment; Great Lance, Italian Sword (or Knightly Arming Sword?), Knightly Heater Shield, Destrier, Blue Morion, Black Lamellar Armour, Light Strange Gloves and Light Strange Greaves with the following build;
    Strength: 21
    Agility: 15
    Hit Points: 60
    Skills to attributes: 2
    Ironflesh: 2
    Power Strike: 7
    Shield: 5
    Athletics: 5
    Riding: 5
    Weapon Master: 5
    One Handed: 148
Is this a reasonable equipment set & build for light/medium cav? At times I may want to use a Large Warhorse instead.
    Thanks
i gave  you a +1 because i saw rumblood -1'd your post, dont mind about him (hes just a ***** who is giving a way infamy to eveyone because he disagrees with them, he doesnt know the word 'opinion')

i would say this build needs alot more agi, im not a pro tough. atleast, gk members always say to go more agi for starting cav. most of them even stay at that high agi builds because they are good. speed > ps.
i think the great lance is just for fun to use it for rp (so you look like a real knight), altough i dont know if italian sword has such great cutting damage. its good on foot, but i dont know how it is on  a horse.
pick a long, high slashing damage sword and try it. if you dont like it try something else. sarranid cav sword is good, knightly (long or normal) arming swords are good... i even  heard the military hammer is nice to play with and it makes a nice sound when you hit someone.

    Thank you kind sir :).
Also, yeah I was thinking that more agi would be better for cav but I want to be good on foot as well. Yeah, I find couching generally a little irritating so I only do it very rarely. Also, I was thinking of using a Quarter Staff for infantry because I find one handed a little underpowered versus polearm/2h and going polearm would (I've heard it is only very minor but it still will help) my lancing abilities. I love the sounds of blunt weapons haha.
I'm a little unsure about horses; Destrier is very expensive and it is not a whole lot better than Rouncey is (at least not for the extra price) and Courser has some very nice speed, would I be correct in assuming that Courser is the best horse for lancing? As from what I have heard, lancing does not require as much manoeuvre  as other cav types.
    VERY nice boy :)

courser is good for lancing indeed, but lancing does need alot of maneuverability as you have only a limited angle in wich you can use your lance (especially when you couch), offcourse when you are going up someones back that doesnt see you coming you dont have to be able to adapt to his movement (he will keep walking in a straight line). but if
    *charging enemy cav frontally
    *charging an aware inf man
*fighting at low speed (circling around the inf guy, away from his weapon but ready to ride in on him when you see an opportunity)

in these cases that agi can be pretty nice, even while being lancer. you might have to dodge a swing/stab while stabbing the enemy at the same time.

note that im not cav anymore and was never good at it, but the better cav players always suggested me to go high agi.

if you want a real hybrid you could try the full six hybrid

    (click to show/hide)

but i think you could get a char with 12 str, max if, about 6 shield skill, 4 ath and get a pretty nice hybrid too. (1h on foot, lance on horse)

i would say try it out and see what  you like the most :P

In regards to the horses, I agree that the maneuverability is nicer to have if you want to prey on anything other than the unaware. I prefer the Destrier over the Rouncy bigtime. The survivability is a big difference. I occasionally hop on a Large Warhorse and it's not that much stronger than the Destrier for a pretty steep increase. You might just have both Rouncy and Destrier and switch depending on how many ranged there are.

i would say always use destrier when on higher multi (you have to find a balance yourself, use only gear when you can make profit)
and use your rouncey when on x1 and x2 (maybe x3)
