Pretty much what Xeen said, and I can't--and haven't ever faulted him for anything in Strategus. It's hard to keep people interested in it when it turns your friends against you. I can tell you this, the KUTTs still interested in Strategus may still rise again. We may just follow in Anders footsteps (scary thought eh?) and hire out Mercenaries to armies that need them, and also show up to fight all those weird fucking times for you.

With this money (thank you Arathian) we will put together an army, whether it will be used to go back and take stuff or just simply to rent out to keep us interested--I'm not sure, but in the coming days I'm sure the KUTT Kouncil will get together and discuss what, if anything, we want to do in Strategus from here forth.

Thanks again to everyone who came, and apologies for Oxrock's deal. He got stuck there, and this is only his 2nd or 3rd strat battle. One thing is for sure, we had no clue his location was preventing that flag cap, thought you guys were just going MURDERTRAIN on us. But, it did, for a brief second give some really fun sudden burst of combat.

#Remember 32:30 2012

Well good luck to you and I hope KUTT stays in. I wouldn't want it to get stale in NA and for NA to get its own version of UIF.

That part where uyou guys burst out was awesome lol. Extended the strat battle with that large sudden spawn.

Or you guys could just fight eachother, isnt that the point? I mean what else you guna do sit around until strat 5 so you can kill KUTT again. Have any of the major clans still in the game VE/FCC/CHAOS/REMNANT ever fought one another? Some things never change.

And hopefully it doesnt take a year or so for the next strat to come around like in strat 3. Even with Hospitaller/Occitan fighting every clan in NA after about 6 months there was nothign to do for the rest of strat, because all the other NA clans had been defeated, and no more real battles could be had.

I thought the Reyvaden fight was more fun. The battle of Curaw felt like a pitty party.

Yeah, FCC and Chaos were at war for a good while in strat 2.0. Want to see a video for proof?

Then hopefully the wars/battles keep coming and strat will never be boring. I also think it would be cool if they added real concrete victory conditions to strat(whoever owns the most fiefs wins), and gave out prizes like 10 loom points to the winning clan to actually motivate people to be aggressive and play the game. If your game results in most of the playing time spent sitting around doing nothing, weather it be the UIF in EU or in NA, your game is broken and needs to be fixed, you need to drive competition between factions.

The Battle Pity Party of Curaw

So Muffy threw a party but didn't want to invite Kelly because Kelley was friends with Heather and no one fucking liked Heather. No one liked Heather because Heather's a little bitch that spreads rumors about everyone, you can't trust Heather. Problem was Muffy invited Kelley to the party before she knew she was friends with Heather and now it was too late to uninvite Kelley because the party was only a day away and that would be rude. Uninviting Kelley the day before the party is something Heather would do. So Muffy threw the party and Kelley showed up in her purple dress and we all tried to be so nice to her because this would probably be the last party she ever went to and tomorrow at lunch she'd have to sit with Heather because we wouldn't let her sit with us because fuck Heather.

Pretty sure FCC can not be considered turtles. We fight. Pretty much non stop. I would say 90% of the good fights so far this strat have been FCC in it.

We are not done. No worries. The easiest way to beat FCC seems to be bore them.. they all quit and we roll over. As long as the armies continue to march we should stay solid.

I do not think we have ever fought tkov.. Remnant was not around until recently so nothing with them.. Chaos we fought in 2 when they were with DRZ.

Who's sitting around doing nothing? There are at least 3 factions at war with Hospitallers, and another 3 at war with the Coalition. There's plenty of other chances for war as well. This is the most active and varied I've seen Strategus in a very long time.

Scary how? It's the only way to play strat, legitimately. Factions are not fun since you have to be a like a real kingdom. Being able to just have fun battles is lots of fun.

Welcome to the mercenary side, if you choose to go that way. Though, now FCC is way to large in terms of land. I'd love to see a war between Remnant,FCC Versus VE,NH. Much fun adn XP to be had.

500+ ticket strat battles are far more entertaining than battle or siege, how can you possibly have players that DONT enjoy it?

Yup. The battles are why we play Strat, right? Getting wiped is sometimes part of the game, and the more timid elements in a faction will take it to heart and quit as a result; those who understand why they're playing Strat in the first place remain no matter how grim their lot may seem.

Well, a lot of KUTT members figure they can still get in on the battles without having to put forth the actual effort and months of planning to make those armies happen  :P

Please play before reading.

As she now walked through the somber, desolate streets of Nova Curaw, the Stratian sellsword known as DarkKarma retraced her steps, walking the same route she had gone when she and her comrades had laid siege to the city hours earlier.Women and children now without husbands or fathers wandered through the war-torn streets aimlessly almost as if trying to make sense of the destruction. One soon to be widow fortunate enough to re-unite with her now mortally wounded lover in his final moments clung to him motionless in the dirt, covered in blood; this would certainly be the final embrace the two would share together before the cold embrace of death took hold. Observing her newly shattered surroundings, DarkKarma could not help but think back to the stories she had heard of the once great tundra city. The city of Nova Curaw had always been an ever lasting symbol of the wealth and power that the Knights' Union of the Tundra Territories had enjoyed. It was one city of many territories, but even among the other great cities this one stood out among the others. The city was not only a symbol of wealth and power, but also a beacon of hope and prosperity in a barren, arctic landscape.

As the war with the Free Companies of Calradia waged on and one stronghold after another fell, it was not long before the city became the final hold out of the Tundra Knights. For nearly five fort nights the attackers laid siege to the walls, obstructing all traffic to and from the city. As resources dwindled and overall morale declined, it was not long before the great city began to accurately reflect the hopeless situation that the nation as a whole found itself in.No longer was it a symbol of power and wealth, no longer was it a symbol of hope and prosperity, no longer was it the gem of an empire. In accordance with the current state of affairs, the city had seemingly changed its role to become the accurate reflection a nation that was no longer a military super power, but one clinging to life on nothing more than borrowed time. The assault of the FCC on the city had been just as ruthless as any other and once the walls had finally been breached, an indiscriminate slaughter began to take place. The roads were still stained with blood of every able bodied man capable of gripping a sword and the crows feasted on the corpses that still littered the streets. Homes had been sacked, market stalls looted and the remaining livestock had been slaughtered nearly as indiscriminately as the town's rag-tag militia had been. Even in death, it seemed the great city of Nova Curaw accurately symbolized the state of its nation. The Knights' Union of the Tundra Territories had at last fallen and as the sun set on the land of New Calradia, so too would it seemingly forever set upon theonce great tundra empire.

As she continued her walk through the city DarkKarma could not help but recognize many of the fallen soldiers in the streets. It had been several battles since the Knights had amassed anything similar to what could be considered  a well-trained army, but one thing had remained constant through every battle till the end. Although they were clearly not trained or conditioned to be instruments of death, each and every citizen had fought and fallen with the same tenacity and pride as the one before them. Many of them wore the faces of men both physically and emotionally starved, yet the looks in their eyes were that of a proud and strong people;a look that would leave them only in death. Even though they lacked the equipment and training, these men did not lack the spirit and courage that all but greatest of soldiers lacked, something that simply could not be learned through military drills or training. Truly, these men had taken up arms as peasants, farmers and merchants, but died as warriors and were deserving of a warrior's death. Even when all hope was lost and the remaining militia had gathered in the final gatehouse with their king, their expressions did not falter or waver. Their king in particular stood ahead of his men conveying a range of emotions. This was the face a man filled with deep remorse for his inability to protect his people, but also a man that had found peace in the fact that he'd had the privilege to rule over such a loyal, proud and fearless people; a people that would sooner follow him into certain destruction than bend the knee and submit to a foreign adversary. Looking out the gatehouse window, he stared down upon the droves of attackers now advancing towards them with the expression of a man without fear. This was a man that had already lost everything and was prepared to pay the ultimate price for fighting in what he believed in, but not before making as many attackers as he possibly could do the same. Although she had the perfect shot lined up on the king from a distance, she lowered her crossbow when looking into this king's face. Even now she could not understand what had stopped her from pulling the trigger that day. Countless generals and kings had met a similar fate at her hands in the past but none had ever had such an unforgettable expression as this king had. It was a look that DarkKarma would remember for the rest of her life.

As she continued her walk, the Stratian soldier noticed a sizable amount of townsfolk exiting the charred remains of their homes with only what they could carry as they headed towards the town gates. There had been no public declaration or decree by the free companies as of yet, but the safety of the remaining population had been ensured by the military and they had instructed that the survivors were free to stay and acknowledge their new lords or leave only with what they could carry on their backs. It was at this moment that DarkKarma noticed one particular individual among the rest of the disenfranchised population. It was a young man of quite ordinary appearance helping an elderly couple carry some of their belongings towards the front gate. As he walked with the elderly couple by DarkKarma, the two became aware of one another and exchanged glances . As they observed one another momentarily, DarkKarma immediately recognized the distinct look in the young man's eyes. It had been the same expression worn by the now fallen king of the tundra knights. No, it was more than that; this young man possessed the same eyes and  facial features as his king. Though it was dirty, the face was proud; too proud to be that of a mere look alike or bastard son. Though he had tried his hardest to hide it, Darkkarma was certain that this was the face of an heir. Awestruck and confused, she could not make sense of the situation at hand. All of the king's sons and immediate family within the castle had been either been reported  evacuated or slain in combat, yet this one still remained. Upon thinking about it,she could not remember hearing of what happened to the king's youngest son but simply assumed he had gone into hiding. Any and all logic lead to the conclusion that this could not possibly be the son of the king, yet here he stood in the ruins of his father's once great city, disguised as a peasant helping his people pick up the pieces of their lives and move on. Realizing he'd been discovered, the young man's expression wavered momentarily before regaining it's composure. The two stood there starring at one another for what seemed like an eternity, waiting for the other to say or do something. Finally, DarkKarma did nothing more than nod in acknowledgment before turning and walking in the opposite direction. Not wasting another second, the young man continued on, escorting the elderly couple with the rest of the villagers out of the front gates without issue.

DarkKarma could not help but smirk in disbelief as she walked towards the encampment of her brothers and sisters in arms. Not even she could be certain of what the consequences of her actions this day might be later on down the line and she was equally uncertain of what would become of the now shattered nation of the Tundra Knights. She was certain of one thing however; so long as the fire in the eyes and spirit of the young man she had just let go remained, she was certain that the story of the Tundra Knights was not yet over.

Thank you for everything, KUTT. These have been some of the funnest sieges in recent memory for me. I wish you all nothing but the best in the future.
