My Discipline Policy:
As a general rule I plan to enforce the 'three strike rule' of warn/kick/ban
Moderate rule breaking may go straight to kick/ban
Severe rule breaking may go straight to ban
If you try to duck punishment by leaving the server, you will likely get a ban
Chat offenses will follow a similar progression of warn/mute/ban, pending severity

Raging isn't going to unban you any faster
Details & constructive criticism are your friends

My (rough) ban template for NA ban threads.
1st offense -0-12 hr ban, appeal likely
2nd offense -12-24 hr ban, appeal likely
3rd offense - 24-36 hr ban, circumstantial appeal
4th offense - 36-60 hr ban, unlikely appeal
5th offense - 60-96 hr ban, unlikely appeal
6th+ offense - special review
This is by NO MEANS set in stone, since various factors may increase/decrease the ban time. The reason I've posted this is mostly for my benefit, so that I can be consistent & avoid becoming more/less lenient with bans over time.
