NA 2v2 Tournament Sign-up and Organization

Rules

• 5k Entry Fee (I won't steal it, I promise)
• Winner takes 60%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 10%
• Fights to best of 3
• No cavalry, no archers. Xbows and throwing are OK, but only one team member may have a ranged weapon.
• Armor restrictions TBD
• Weapon Restrictions - None, unless everyone wants crushthrough banned
• No 13 shield skill (it would be funny but only for a little bit, sorry)

Personally I'd like to do one event, I think it would be the most fun and would have good opportunities for shit talking and "what a scrub" type comments, but if that isn't what people want it could also be done pick-up style provided I could get a server

not sure - maybe shik could help us out with the rageball server? i know there's a bunch of community servers that go unused so finding one to use shouldn't be too hard.

Suggestions: maximum of X body armor, where X = 50ish? Applying to the body armor; gloves can probably be anything as it's not that big of a deal.

No crushthrough is probably fair.

Why not just have each team in X tunic over mail and matching arena helmet like the EU Nations cup is set up? Obviously I'm biased because I don't have fancy loomed gloves and ~45 body armor but I don't see the need to introduce armor value as a contentious issue, especially when there is already "arena armor" which adds to the atmosphere and levels the playing field.


edit: I thought the EU Nation's Cup had a set of armor regulations but now I can't find the info in their subforum. Maybe I have misremembered.
