Well if they are going off of the historical knights of Saint Mary and the Teutonic States, then they are exactly the sort of fellows that we Coalition (and Fallen) can respect (skilled, fearsome, ruthless and steadfast), and it is also fitting considering we have some soldiers of the Holy Roman Empire among us. Regardless, Hochmeister Darth Wesley is a reasonable fellow and a fine soldier on the battlefield that I trust (few finer in my opinion) with well-disciplined and skilled knights, I don't think I could ask for any better.

This doesn't sound like an act of war with coalition's enemies as far as a I can tell.  Its a free trade agreement, non-aggression pact, and mercing for each other.  They are not actually contributing troops, gold, equipment or attacking each others' enemies.  Not sure how this is the bad move all of you are saying, since they are at peace with all Coalition's enemies while allowing coalition to do free trade and help with filling the roster of a small faction.

Anyone attackign them would be the same as declaring war on anyone witha  member who mercs against you, which would quickly add up to a huge number of enemies.
