They were different before, I'm pretty sure Wisby were heavier. What have you done, you silly imbalancers?

What a lame patch.  First my build is completely screwed over, and now my MW mail gauntlets are suddenly completely inferior to the wisby ones...  ROLL BACK ROLL BACK ROLL BACK!!!

I too have lordly mail gauntlets. They weren't inferior, because wisbies had greater weight, and thus mail gauntlets were in a sort of a weight/protection sweetspot. Considering, that gauntlets have a... x4 weight wpf penalty, iirc, that 0.2 weight does make a significant difference.

Yeah, yeah, it's not much, but it's there.

When they are both +3 they are 9 and 10 armour btw. I personally prefer the mail gauntlets then. They also fit better with my armour.

1.35k difference actually. Doesn't mean much. If you're going to use cheap gear, mail mittens are the way to go.

There's also 7 str req vs 9 str. HX can use mail gauntlets...

I agree that mail gauntlets look better but that's matter of a taste.

I think they failed while trying to rebalance gloves.

Lordy leather gloves give +5 body armor for 0 weight
Lordy mail mittens give +8 body armor for 0.3 weight (1.2 wpf weight)       +3 +0.3

Fasader's work is pretty damn obvious here. He's the only one who's grading items based on their looks (his personal taste).
