Yes, it does... sort of. At least for me. But it does throw a few things out of balance.

Yeah. I don't mind the heavy lance nerf all too much, it's just that things like horse archers, archers, xbowmen, and horse xbowmen were not slightly nerfed as well.

Did they change horse's breaking chance? I paid for courser 3 times in a row then dropped it. 3x1388 makes a difference.

not only heavy lance, lance and light lance also got nerfed, but the nerf seems balance to me

The decrease of heavy lance damage is an inderect nerf of the arbian warhorse and a buff to other horses.
I no longer 1 hit kill light armoured targets, which I did before. A prepatch 2 thrust kill now takes 3+.
This means horses, no matter what horse, will now receive damage that they didn't recieve prepatch.

I even thrusted a guy, then couched lanced him and finally finished him off with yet another thrust.

how is that a buff to other horses.  at least you got the maneuverability to get those headshots.  also,  you can easily go normal lance thanks to man.

It is a buff to horses with more hitpoints and armour, as your horse will now receive more damage due to the extra attacks you need to carry out, in order to kill the target.
Previously I could go ALL IN on an attack. I knew it would 1 hit kill so it didnt matter if it stopped my horse. That is not the case now.

EDIT: Yes, I could go normal lance. But I won't trade my +3 heavy lance for a +0 lance.
Besides, Im not sure they will stay away from nerfing the damage of lance and light lance as well.
