Why do we even have a multiplier bar now?

Yes sir thats an xp bar.

lel, yes the green is an EXP bar. The X is the multiplier. Every time you win, it increases by 1. When you lose, it resets to 0. It multiplies the EXP you get while you play.

The bar hs NO CONNECTION to the x1/x2/.../x5-display to its right, although it might make that impression. It's two seperate displays, one for the amount of XP you have earned for the next level, and the other one for your current multiplier.

I am honestly shocked that someone with more than 1000 hours of cRPG didn't know that or hasn't figured it out by himself

That is the xp bar.., every time you get xp, it fills up a bit. When it becomes full, it resets and you get a level.
