How about we stop making Strat horrible thing?

I kindly suggest to all the players, and especially leaders/diplomats, to stop calling other players names, arguing, trolling bad or insulting in any other way. This just makes Strat a horrible thing to play, sometimes people just forget that it's a game and start going full retard, making jokes about something unacceptable that is beyond the border of fun.

I know that Strategus drama is something that some certain people like to see and I can not do anything with multiaccount users/other abusers. There is no black and white here in Strategus, just like in real life. There is no point in constant finger pointing. This community knows who is who and there is no need in everyday bitching over and over again.

It's okay when people say something like "we will wipe you in the next battle", it's a part of the game, even some minor insults if they're given in good manner. But what I see more and more these days is that people actually mean what they say and they really get these feelings: hate, anger, arrogance, intolerance etc. There are some people who will keep doing what they already do and you can't do anything with them, I suggest just to ignore them since when you get down to their level - people don't see any difference between you and your opponent. Also, the row of mutes and warnings proved that we're doing something wrong.

Strategus is meant to bring some good time spent in good battles. But most of the time it's not even close to something described there. Even after winning with 2+:1 overall scores of your army I personally didn't feel any kind of satisfaction because I saw players and what they did. You might remember a scandal after the first Emirin battle in Strat2 when Mercs capped the spawn of FCC, I was one of 3 players who capped the spawn and the only player without horse there (you can even see me in the video in green tunic), but my euphoria of victory has gone quickly after a lot of intolerant and insulting messages of my team in the chat, my mates started crap like fuck american fat cunts, fuck you yankees, go back to NA etc. I also spent some bad time making roster, these rollcalls whatsoever.


Don't forget that we play it because we like it, not because we have to.

In your opening paragraph asking people to stop being offensive, you managed to use "retard" casually.  Because tolerance of internet knights and a plea for virtual chivalry is worth more than any drooling retard stuck on disability, lives in a group home, or has a family that has to take care of them daily in real life for the rest of their life, right?

Since you mentioned it, I'd like to say that the war between Mercs and FCC brought some of the best threads I've had the pleasure of taking part in. I look back on that drama quite fondly. Truly, the battle times were the only downside to that war. For all the hate both sides threw at each other, I honestly had a lot of respect for them after it was all said and done.

wont work never has Strat is a game where you have to put a lot of time and effort in (well not really compared to other games but for crpg it is ) When someone wants to destroy something that you have worked so hard for then people hate <3

I played Utopia and a game called visual utopia for many years and at the top level of utopia a province and kingdom that you have been playing for a month or two can be wiped out in a couple of hours. Alliance wars in that game had a scale and hatred that makes stat look tiny and petty. The animosity doesnt stop untill you have stopped playing or somehow find yourselves allied ;) as in strat most rounds consistancy in your enemies and friends is the norm.
In visual utopia i warred and allied mostly the same factions/people for many many rounds and the flame fests got pretty over the top but after a long ass time you do come to like and respect some enemies. the ones that you accuse and belive cheat you never will.


Aaaaaand so to end this useless post i have to say dave that the nocti vs greys threads and posts (and others ofc) will never end 



im sure tears can elaborate on the rage that sometimes happend in Utopia ^^ not to mention that breaking the rules and thus the rage created was far more rampent
