Round Steel Buckler

This thing stinks. It's one of the easiest shield to break in the game, and has the least coverage. It does have low weight and high speed though, so it is okay for duels (though you'll have to dodge more than block or else it will still break). So why does it cost so much? There are a lot of cheaper shields nearly as fast with much more coverage, so why is this one of the most expensive? It's even more expensive than the MUCH superior Steel Buckler. Perhaps it's one of those "showoff" items to prove your skill, like when people fight in peasant's clothing, but they don't use shields so probably not.

Please re-work this item's price.

I think the sheild skill requirement + price should be lowered. And it's speed + HP/armor should be raised.

The speed and hp are already high enough, but yes, the armor could be buffed. Realistically, it appears as if it would have as much armor as the Steel Buckler. So I'd suggest not only making the price lower somewhat, but also buffing the armor.

Did you guys forget the part where it's the only zero slot shield there is? It's meant to give a hybrid 1h/arbalester or other similarly uncommon slot hungry build the option of using a weak but expensive shield in a pinch. This is the reason it doesn't fare too well in sustained melee; it wasn't meant to be used in sustained melee or pitched fighting.

I don't care if it has 0 slots, it still has awful stats and shouldn't cost this much.

It's fine how it is. With half decent shield skill it's a passable option, especially when you take into account that it's 0 slots.

It is not meant to be a great shield, it is meant to be a backup shield for hybrids that do not have the slots for that (a rus/longbow/arbalest hybrid with shielder.
Also, have you ever seen leoking in the servers? You just need big amounts of shield skill. It is very good on 12/27 builds and similar

Leoking crutches an extremely agi based build and a buckler, pretty sure he got like 9 shield skill.

Using it with 5 shield skill. Not bad.

Can't take much beating but it does stop arrows.

Both bucklers are horribly unrealistic (in the OP way) in this game. You can block arrows even though you really shouldn't, and the round one has like double the effective coverage of any rectangular shield, just because it's round. Also, they both look terrible.

The same applies to all shields. A reality check is much needed when you look at what round and non-round shield actually cover ingame.
