heres a better idea.....battles ONLY during PRIME TIME.  Other games [Pirates of the Burning Sea] have done it and it makes everything more fun.

Many battles 100vs100 will occupy most of that time
also faction can easy spam list to delay the attack time for a day
New 2 servers for small battles=$$$$$$$  :?

Just make any battle more than 500 vrs 500 primetime and the rest whatever time the attack goes down.
Smooth is the admin NA deserves. Not being that much better, EU deserves Thomek.

by setting a nighttime which is bigger than only the 8 hours, you would automaticly choose primetime for yourself. If f.e. 14 hours nighttime, there are 10 hours left which you could call primetime. This is more flexible than a server defined primetime of say only 5 hours, as there are still time differentials between f.e. factions based mainly on players out of russia and those out of england. So to leave it to the leaders of a faction to choose a sutiable nighttime and therefor primetime i believe would be better than an overall fixed/setted server primetime.

I see also a problem with the small battles, they are needed to get rid of spies, unwanted traders or just for fun ^^, having them on a separated server could make sence for factions, even if those battles would take place at the same time. You could choose people who would be in the one or the other depending on priority.
Everything else i could think of would limit the number of battles and may be seen as overall restrictive. F.e. Having only battles with numbers greater 200 on attacker sides or attacker needs to be at least over "lightly armed" or within 10 hours at least a certain number of people need to have applied for either site and be shown in roster(that but is again problem as the battle times may change constantly) or players with 100 and/or no faction couldn't be attacked at all(pro trader contra spies) or ....

We could maybe try 14 hours or something, but I'm worried people would use it against enemies again (setting nighttime on primetime)

Since EU and NA are split, would it be horribly unfair to just have a standard 12 or 14 hr nighttime imposed?? rather than letting everyone pick theirs.
Or maybe it is set but you may deviate your personal one like 2 to 3 hrs from the standard if you so please.

this way people couldnt use their 12-14 hours in primetime of that server.

nighttime is unnecessary on NA server, set the window that all battles must fall in from 5pm - 2am EST

strategus server should easily be able to handle multiple smaller fights on the same box. just up to devs to make it work

A cooldown between 3 days and 2 weeks seems appropriate.
And 14 hours would give most of us the opportunity to regulate the bare minimum of things we need to do daily without being too concerned about strat.

Besides the outcome i also would like to point out again, that a rank 10 default faction setting for nightime would be nice. Everyone who joins, automaticly takes over those default settings, but will still be able to adjust them personally for himself.
