3 slot ladders.

Simple suggestion.

If a two handed weapon takes up two slots, then a siege ladder ten times the size of its bearer should take up three at least.

No, it should take 10 slots

Mathematicals was never my sharpest skill.

Alternatively, due to their disposable nature, only one may be carried.

Four slots but increase stack size from 1 to 20.

In all seriousness, I think 2 slots is fine, as otherwise seiges may get a wee bit hard to do and may have to be slightly rebalanced.

EDIT: Or the concept of being limited to just 1 per user would work, I do like that.

I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

Well, actually not bad..would lead to less roof camping.
But siege shields should keep 1 slot..dont need to nerf teamplay so much ;(

I always considered them to be an attractive staple of strategus.  On standard multiplayer siege however, we play on maps which are balanced without their consideration.

Edit:  Also, they should be two handed, to avoid the 'ladder&board' ninjas that are so difficult to shoot before they start deploying siege ladders from their trousers.

Either way 2 or 3 slots, ladders hitpoints need a huge buff then or sieges on strategus will be days long attrition events where no attackers can get to the top of the wall because ladders are broken like they are twigs and you can only bring 1 at a time.

I believe siege ladders will be 3 slots. Not sure how I feel about that though. Some siege maps simply need siege ladders and I'm really not looking forward to charging up a ladder with just a 1h.

Ladders are a perfect example of why we could really use some non combat skills. An engineering skill that increases HP of siege equipment, maybe reduces the number of slots you need to carry a ladder, improves catapults somehow.

Ladders will probably be 2 slots and impossible to sheath.
Also, I made siege and large ladders two handed, so they can't be used with a shield.

Excellent news.
