1h no shield

Due to upcoming patch blah blah blah
So I need a good 1h that will use no shield with 100wpf
I was think Elite Scimmitar, Sarrinid guard sword or Sarrinad cavalry sword.
Any thoughts?

Sarranid Cavalry Sword and Long Esplada are long enough to be wielded pretty effectively as a 1hand. Long Esplada is a bit shorter, but faster and with more damage (for a higher price, of course). I'm currently using a twice loomed Long Esplada as my 1hand sidearm as an archer, and I love the thing, feel pretty comfortable with it in melee.

best 1h is fighting axe. it has bonus vs shield but with 90 range, 20 more range than the other axes.

sword wise? italian for cheap; Long espada for more expensive.
Axes/picks/etc if you have low PS and higher athletics.

I've been using an Italian sword with my archer (45 1h wpf, 4 PS), got a fair amount of kills with it, though heavy armor is a challenge. Other times I just grab a pick, very effective but low range.

Plus it can be used as 2h, when you need to chop down ladders/doors quickly or cleaving guys at the tops of ladders

Yup, steel pick for me. High athletics (8)/low (5) PS require a weapon that doesn't glance.

With more PS and lower athletics you can swap to the longer swords.

If your powerstrike low and you have the athletics to compensate for the low reach, go for the fast pierce or blunt weapons, like the picks and hammers.

One of the most underestimated weapons, i think, are the maces (flanged, winged, iberian and such). It's oddly embarassing to swing at some archer, have him block -> counter -> knockdown -> kill.

Steel pick is awesome without a shield. As long as you have more than 3 athletics.

Long espada is a wonderful tool of killing doom with str builds, but it is too weak slash wise compared to an arming sword or an NCS, if you are a good stabber go for it otherwise might wanna take something else as a sword.

since you are only going to have 100wpf i would guess you are a hybred but what type? what is your athletics and ps
with only 100wpf probobly something with 97 or higher weapon speed.
if you have low athletics i would recommend something with 95 or higher range
and if you have less than 5ps i would go with a pierce or blunt dmg weapon
