I see a lot of post about dtv (virgin/village), so i decided to gather some ideas about it.


Back then you had to form a shieldwall the narrowest opening you could find (usually a door/ ruin), with some polearms/ 2handers behind it.

Nowadays you stand behind a fence and hack and slash.

I preferred when there was some form of teamwork present.
Virgin is there to prevent exploiting the terrain, then they added fences to each DTV map where enemy's get stuck at...

I think the switch from DTVillage to DTVirgin was with the right intentions, but at some point it turned into a fencecamping/ terrain exploiting mode. (yes there is a difference between using terrain to your advantage and exploiting terrair)

Lets hear some suggestions from the DTV fanatics, idea's on how to improve DTVirgin, would you rather go back to DTVillage, any ideas on how to make this mode a challenge again, instead of the fencecampfest it is today.

A poll will be added when we have some good idea's on how to improve it.

Future poll options:
1) Defend a number of targets depending on player numbers so less bots would be necessary for a fair difficulty. (By owens) I would call it: defend the villagers.
2) Go back to defend the village. (with improved reward system)
3) Dress up a random player in a dress and let him be virgin. No option to pick up weapons.

A sort of flags that bots have to capture (run over it) to win? like in strat battle. would be nice

Well what I imagine is just battle/siege/starts maps in coop.

While defend the Village was very nice mode, especially the beach map, the rewards were just a joke. And eventually reaching x5 made whole team camp and chill for long time, doing nothing.
If it would be possible to bring back DTVillage with present reward system and less-glitchy maps (steal them from NI  :lol: ), that would be simply...

One player each round is randomly selected to be the virgin, and gets forced into a dress with no ability to pick up weapons.

This would just have the same problem as DTVillage, though.
