Ways to use strategus ticks

I suggest to make some ways to use Strat ticks. It's the early start of the strat but I already have 700+ unused strat ticks (I can stop playing crpg for 350+ hours still having an ability to gain gold or recruit troops and that's more than 2 weeks). My basic suggestions:

1) Make it so that upkeeping a travelling army requires not only gold but strategus ticks aswell. (>101 troops - 0 ticks per hour, 101-500 - 1 tick per hour, and 1 tick for every next 250 troops, 501-750 - 2 ticks, 751-1000 - 3 ticks, 1001-1250 - 4 ticks etc.) So upkeeping an army of 1000 would require 78 ticks each day (when you travel), not that much, mb you'll have a better idea for calculation.

2) Make Quick March using ticks. Something like 50 ticks.

3) Make a possibility to gain double gold/troops for 5 ticks per hour.

And maybe something more. These are just ways to use strat ticks. cRPG definitely needs to benefit those who play.

Not bad ideas but I personally wouldn't want hardcore grinding as a requirement for Strategus. I like that you don't need to play 24/7.

However a few more options rather than simply generating troops/gold would be good, there certainly is room for a balanced approach.

Making Quick March use ticks could be an idea.

In general there are plenty of small features that could utilize ticks, because it would make people less prone to just "do it" and instead slightly think about their actions.

I'd be up for that. I can stop playing for almost 3 weeks and still be fine.

It'd be nice if strat ticks had another use other than getting troops/gold every hour for 1 tick.

Disagree. The whole point of slow strat ticks consumption is that grinders don't have an advantage over people who play cRPG casually. Keep it as it is.

I like the idea for quickmarch costing ticks. Its a small advantage, usefull in many situations but not critical.

Thou your ideas aint bad at all, theres no point of being a mean and giving people who play the mod 24/7 a clear advantage, cause we all got moments when we cant play the mod for like weeks. And it would suck loging in after a big break and suddenly seeing your adversary being suddenly godlike since you just lacked time and the other guy didnt have anything better to do.

Ticksystem should really be only used to keep away ghostaccounts.

No. I play a lot and have 374 ticks left. Making everything cost ticks will only benefit grinders. Leave it as it is.

The thing is you can't call someone who plays more than 48 minutes/day a grinder. Why did I suggest this? Because it will make Strat difficult for multiaccount users (I know many of them, but I won't give any names), now it's not really difficult. People should not have that big amount of exceeding ticks because with the current system it will end like the strat before - I haven't played crpg for months and still had thousands of exceeding Strat ticks.

Regular active cRPG player spends at least 14 hours/week and that's 2.5 times more than 48 minutes/day.

So you want to fight multiaccounters by making everyone grind more for maximum efficiency? You do realize that some people play less than an hour a day? Sorry, but what you suggested is just not the right way.

It doesn't give any kind of big benefits of what I suggested. I don't find it fair that someone who is not playing crpg (read semi-dead clans with inactive players, ghost accounts etc) can be as efficient in strat as someone who is playing it.

I earned those ticks why can't I spend them?

All 3 you suggested provide a significant advantage to the "grinder", specially the #3. Someone who is not playing cRPG is going to run out of ticks fairly fast, so you can't AFK and be as efficient (aka craft goods) anymore.

Vibe, you can't craft goods AT ALL in this strategus. They removed it. Only thing you can use your ticks for are getting +1 troop each hour or get 10gold/hour. Ticks can't be used for anything else.

Why should people who have more time to play have an advantage? You serious? Ask the same question in the other way. Why others should not have the advantage over people who don't play at all? You can buy goods, you can sell goods, you can move on the map, you can trade, you can do EVERYTHING without playing a single minute. You only can't get +1 troop each hour (well, 24 troops each day is nothing) and you can't get 240 strat gold each day (srsly? 240 gold is nothing aswell, it's ~ a price of 1 arbalest in strat). While those who play cRPG can only get ONE of these things (you either gain troops or gold)
