Overheating when playing M&B

Hihi,

Lately i ve got a little problem with my fps when i play cRpg. After about 5 minutes i can see something that looks like a very very low fps (think 2-6 fps) though the fps displayer still says 60-80 fps.
(got 6g memory, warband takes about 1.5g at max so thats no problem)

So i figured it might be my motherboard getting overheated, so i installed speedfan to see temperatures.
This are the readings:

The part where it says 53 - 84 is slightly concerning, anyone has knows my options?

Apart from: buy a new pc you hobo, any help is welcome :)

Sounds like it's time for new thermal paste/improved CPU heatsink&fan.

I had a similar issue and that solved it.

Probably this ^. If you're using a stock fan on your graphics card, it may also pay to upgrade to something more powerful (my stock nvidia fan was rubbish) though this may also involve needing to upgrade your power supply.
You think you're pretty smart with your dago mustache and your greasy hair.

likely a hardware problem, but you should enable vsync & maxfps 60 options to see how they affect this overheating

Yeah, I would try limiting your fps to 60 or so.

are u shure that software is working well? I mean 99c on any card would frie it.
You checked ur fan? It is probably cooling problem.
Look if fan is ok,if it is,then remove it,clean it,put new paste, and put it back. You can also increase your fan speed.
If that fails, then buy a new fan for graphic card.
Also did you overclocked your graphic card?

I'm a herpaderp, your images had CPU plastered all over it so I read CPU, when it's the GPU overheating.

I had a card instantly go up to over 110c a while back, it was broken - I had to send it back for a replacement. If it's still under warranty, try getting a replacement for it. If it's not, you might want to consider trying to replace the thermal paste on the fan - I don't know if that would fix it though.

Less drastic solution would be, as others have said, tone down the graphics and turn the fan speed up to maximum and clean (a compressed air can may be necessary), although no GFX card should be running over 70c even on full load.

I ve set it to 60fps max, now it wont get higher then 95C which doesnt make it lag yet.
No, not overclocked ;)

Ah well... potential big project coming at work so perhaps a new pc for gaming only will come, or just new colling stuff

Thanks for the advice!
