I want a good build for polearm(glaive) .

Btw..i want to take a pike too :D

Forget about it. new patch will make it impossible to sheath pike... + it will probably take 3 slots. PIKE ITSELF. Not to mention Glaive with its at least 2 slots...

Wut? If they make the pike unsheathable, they can't make it take 3 slots. Also heard they want to take the overheadswing away, if they do this I can promise you no one will use it anymore.

Agreed.

Pike without overhead will end up being useless.
Well, not that useless, but it would lose some of its support role against infantry, also self-defence.

Where are you getting this info?  Seems weird that they would choose to nerf melee in this way...

Not only melee, this will effect everyone, hybrids mostly.

As far as I know, cmpx posted some info, but I don't remember where.

Sounds like a massive buff to cav and a nerf to everyone else, but I guess I'm the only one that thinks cav is op and easy mode.

Buff to CAVALRY? Haha, save words for next patch. Every polearm taking 2 slots (the biggest ones even 3!) and polearms that are not placed on our back when sheathed will be automatically dropped (perhaps even lances). No buff for cavalry, bro.

As far as I can tell cav will still be able to use lance, shield, and 1 hander.  They just lose that great long axe or whatever.  And no one will use a pike if these changes are accurate.  Looks like a buff to me.

Wut? Why couldn't they make it 3 slots? Because you said so?
Also, it will be used imo. There might be a period of time after the patch when there will be lack of pikes, but people will then realize that being raped by cav is not fun and there will be more dedicated pikers. IMO.

I Looked through CMpx's, fasader's, chadz [with some quality troll posts I must say], and Paul's posts and I find nothing to this affect posted anywhere.

I can tell you right now some of those pike rumors are, to my knowledge, misunderstandings of my proposed Long pike. However, I scrapped the idea because a Long pike [thrust only, but 350 length] would have some unintended features such as stabbing through everything within a foot and a half in front of you. Including the ~~stand behind your teammate shielder and just thrust through him~ and the funniest of all "Lol stab through a wall as if it isn't there". I proposed the idea of it being unsheathable but dropped on switch, simply by using the same mechanics as ladders in siege.

The point is, unless proof is cited regarding all of these sort of rumors in this thread -- shut up.


You want a pole arm build for a glaive? Do you prefer faster but weaker attacks or slower but destructive hits? Build around your play style.
I suggest a 15/21 build for a weaker build, a balanced build, or a 27/9 build if you want to just one or 2 hit everything always.

If it's not trolling then it's nice to hear that 2hander/polearm drop feature is coming to cRPG. I loved it in "Rus: XIII Century" multiplayer.

any piercing thrust weapon needs 2 attack vectors, high and low stabs....current system is a joke
