Too many random effects, horrible font, weird transitions and overall poorly made.

Not sayin I could do better, but I have an eye for detail and quality. I didn't mean any offense, I just don't think this should be representing cRPG.

Why isn't Thomek here, btw? He was working on some by now forgotten cinematic short with in-game footage etc. Even cmp helped him out with a few scripts.

You said you had some raw footage? I have every imaginable tool at my disposal in school, if you wanted to we could try a collab. You provide all the recordings and I do the editing, split the looms 50/50 in case we win.

A suggestion:

IMO one or more people should cooperate to create a promotional C-RPG video.

1 person whom will create a CG intro that'll lead in to the edited in-game footage.

Should to be proficient in (or similar):

Photoshop
After Effects
(Final Cut Pro)

(can be done in other video editors of course)

Another person to record and edit the actual scenes together - and preferably also have a good enough rig to record in HD so we would maintain the highest quality of production.

Plan:

• The person(s) recording should preferably use the Beta Client (or get a mod) due to the HUD can be removed. (Is also available via normal edit mode - click CTRL+H).
• Arrange one or multiple [battle] events where all classes and modes can be showcased for recording.
• Pick music that won't get tagged for licensing, preferably music that's allowed (per licenses) for non-commercial products. Gladiator/Batman tracks are not good to use and rarely do they fit IMO.

Potential scenes to record:
(have players wear recognizable clothing, e.g. Knights vs Nordic)

• Fun/staged scenes; Imagine 200 players on the same team rushing towards the person recording.
• One or more staged battle events. Think Braveheart clashes.
• Have all classes recorded and showcased fairly.
• The various modes need to be represented in a fitting capacity.

Piece together the footage after a couple of epic events and voilà.

Could also always go nuts with some crazy idea, such as creating a monologue someone could voice over


I would happily sponsor C-RPG gold to those that'd take up the task, it certainly seems we have plenty of people with the qualities roaming the forum. C-RPG deserves a great promo video.

I'll give this one a think , I like the idea of having short videos to help anyone new to the mod. It's important for a video of this type to look professional, intriguing and have good content that represents the community well and what cRPG is all about. My fellow clan mate Noctivagant has a talent for this kind media stuff, I would definately support that guy for making this happen ;).

You can get rid of the HUD by just joining as observer. You can also get quite smooth camera moves in this mode.

I made this one in Premiere but i have quite weak comp ATM so i can really patricipate cos my videos will be in rather weak quality (you can see on this one that even the jousting was laggy :) ).

I think that idea for this one is great. If the video will be good enought we could really bring new people here, and we could definitelly use new people.

I also think that old trailer is good it have most views from all Warband videos (except mayby official trailers and official stuff). So it seems like nice base to start with.

1.Music - NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER put o fortuna as a musical background. EVER, it makes the whole video look like it was made by 12 year old who just found how to combine 2 video files. So defenitly NO to o fortuna, Id suggest something nice from here

3. It would be a smart idea if devs assign some people who are willing to help, and give them exclusive access to a certain server so you can shoot some more organised gameplay footage(like acting)
