Incorrect. The tri-force cross hair shows you MAXIMUM deviation upon release at that point. It's the same for all ranged weapons.
Uhm This is Wrong...I have had arrows gone WAAAAY out of my crosshair, which shouldnt be possible according to your post. But they DO ;)

As a archer i do not likethis idea and it seems to me its just a disguised "nerf archery" thread ;)

But what if we changed it to something like this for everyone:

Well I use this crosshair when I play, and I gotta say it is by far the best model I've used, it is small and tiny and it doesn't take up your whole screen, and it feels much more accurate.

If people want to have a dIfferent crosshair, they can add it themselves, to everyone else it's just another unneeded nerf.  Bad idea, people really need to find something else to do with their time, rather than sitting around trying to think up new ways to make ranged suck even worse.
I don't know how you can watch with_stupid, every time i see him play i want to put infants in a blender.

This! Just what I was trying to say put into a more eloquent and fluid form!

Incorrect. The tri-force cross hair shows you MAXIMUM deviation upon release at that point. It's the same for all ranged weapons. That's the point of the dot.
Incorrect, as the amount of deviation greatly depends on the distance you're shooting at. An arrow shot with a relatively small deviation of 1 degree, lands a considerable distance away from the dot at a 100m. The tri-force crosshair cannot give you any information about that.

My point does stand. I said the maxium deviation at the RELEASE. Of COURSE that is going to modify where that lands as deviation at long
ranges is far more pronounced.

Disagree. Show me where that is the case. You arrow will NOT exit outside of that triforce crosshair until a few inches, centimeters(w/e small unit you want) later. Warband mechanics. That cross hair shows the deviation that your arrow will go upon immediate release from bow. Out side of that, your arrow goes where ever the deviation let it.

Of course a bigger crosshair means more deviation but in no way it is - as teeth pointed out, its physically impossible - an accurate indicator of where your projectile will end up. When I shoot a drawn longbow while walking the arrow can go everywhere inside a 90 degree cone, not just inside the crosshair.

I dont see much of a gain here. Even without having a dynamic crosshair everyone knows that a drawn bow will lose its accuracy almost instantly or in some cases even before you are able to release. Neither can the standard crosshair help in calculating elevation and leading. As a 3. person archer im used to the reticule offset of the standard crosshair and dont see why it should be changed.

This looks so much better... finally archers need skill to shoot!
The logic of war seems to be that if a belligerent can fight he will fight.

But you know that you can replace the crosshair client-side? Even if it was removed, no one would care and only need to add one thing to the folder and voilá its back.
