STRAT ANNOUNCEMENT - CHANGELOG
1) No more AI Fiefs - Fiefs will be voted upon during the first 12 hours of Strat. You can vote for anybody in any Fief but the closer you are to the Fief the more your vote will count. Once the 12 hours are up, fiefs will be awarded to the vote winners and Strat will start from there. Please note you will not be able to move during the first 4 hours of the vote.
Strat 4 will now start at 16:00 CET on Sunday 16th September
2) No more troop or gold grinding. Troops and gold are generated automatically using the tick system. You can only create one at a time though. By default you will create troops and this will happen until you reach a troop cap that you set yourself. Clicking to set a troop cap lower than your current number of troops will fire your excess troops on the spot
3) No more goods grinding. Fiefs now produce goods and anybody can buy them. Goods production rates and prices can be changed by fief owners, whilst the price will be further affected by goods supply/demand and the Fief’s tax rate
4) No more chadz Text or Equipment Crafting. Instead Fief owners can pick what items they want their fief to sell and what level they want those items to be. Fief Owners can also decide whether or not to discount equipment prices. Note: In order to buy siege equip you must upgrade it to +0 first.
5) New Trade Distance Bonuses - High trade bonuses will be achievable at just 50km.
6) New Troop Upkeep Curve - Upto 100 troops are now free and armies over 1000 troops are progressively more expensive than in the past
7) Fief customisation that allows all the above changes. Fief gain Production Points per day and these can be spent on the changes mentioned previously. Small changes are cheap, big changes like upgrading to MW are expensive.

Update 16.09.2012
8) Banking / Winning
You can now put strat gold into a banking account. There, it will receive interest of 2% per day. You cannot take money out of the bank account. At the end of this round, there will be (about) 200 looms given out in total. To distribute it, all of the money in the bank will be summed up (eg 1,000,000), then divided by the amount of looms (eg 200). This results in the threshold to be guaranteed a loom (eg 5000). For every 5000 in your bank account, you would get 1 loom. If you don't have exactly 5000, the rest money will be used for a drawing (if you have 6000, you have 1 fixed loom + a 1000/5000, so a 20% chance, to win a loom. Works also for people with less than 5000 in total)
9) Towncenter
Whenever you are in a fief, you can put goods into a towncenter for other people to buy. You do this by increasing the selling price over the fief limit. You have a separate tab to view all offers around the world at all times, so you can plan trading routes.
10) looting system has been changed. no more randomness. at the end of a battle, the winner receives all of the goods of the loser. the items that were used receive a penalty of -2 to it's loom level and are distributed 25% to the loser, 50% to the winner.
11) retreating is actually surrendering, all rules of #10 come into effect
