Go forth and conquer.

In all honesty, you'll probably try a bunch of weapons and shields. The Military Pick, Military Hammer, and Broad One Handed Battle Axe are all a lot of fun. The Huscarl's Round Shield is a little slow, but it's a beast in some situations.
