3 Problems i can't solve

1. Loading icon
You know the typical mouse pointer which comes when your PC is doing stuff.
It is unfortunate when you are in midfight and this loading icon pops up, as then the block you are holding is opened and the focus seems to be not ingame anymore till the loading icon is gone.
I got 4 gig ram and haven't many backround programs running which are doing anything.
I disabled most processes of what are at OS-start automaticly started.

2. Server List at first always without eu1 and eu3
Before you can choose a server, the list is searching for available servers.
And it is always the same process, it is showing like 10-20 servers, still notifying me that there are around 600-620 servers to be searched but then it stops. I always have to refresh at least once sometimes up to 4 times till eu1/eu3 shows in the list.
This is independently of restrictions to the search you can configure.

3. Specially defined mouse button
I got a Logitech wireless mouse. Works great(!) in the most cases. Sometimes though the control defined for my thumb isn't working the way it should. Then i either start the game new, sometimes helps or i start the windows new ... noob user way to do things i know.
The software of the mouse is always loaded, the configuration there doesn't change and out of game it works always as it should, but ingame it switches to block instead of the defined command. When i then go into the controls menu, the thumb mouse button doesn't respond at all.

I have never been good at system administration and i am lost here. Any help, suggestions, hints tips would be most appreciated!

1. are you using Avira Antivir? There were some issues with a bit older version which "captured" focus every 1 or 2 hours. I noticed that when watching movies in fullscreen as the felt back to normal window. This bug also threw me out of games at fullscreen. It might also be some other program which catches the focus from M&B.

2. Just add all the servers you use to your favourites and show them instead of all servers. Serverlist loads much faster this way and you can join the server even if they are not shown in the full list for some reason.

3. don't know... I myself use a Logitech mouse with some additional buttons but I rarely use them ingame (I set the modechange X to one of the thumbbuttons).

nope but at some point the default antivir from microsoft was exchanged by Norton Antivir when i installed some programm i missed to uncheck the box ^^, as i didn't really care which software checks for viruses aslong it is done i didn't change that afterwards

i have had that already, the only difference is that less servers are shown but i still need to refresh, so that eu1 and 3 will be shown afterwards. I believe there is no difference in the servers which will be loaded in the background, it is just that less are displayed.

well i got the 360° view on the thumb and use it all the time. When it won't work, the effect is i constantly turn around open my back to strikes when i didn't intend to ^^

to 2.: correction there may be only those loaded in the list, but i have around 15 servers in my favourites, still first time there are about 4-7 shown. I need to refresh more often than i would need with the search over all "internet" servers. When i refresh a couple of times, the counter switches between 4 to 20 but doesn't show eu1/eu3 but when the counter tells me he is looking at 45 servers then eu1/eu3 pops up.

to 3: Meanwhile a CotgS member told me he has similar problems with the same mouse, so it maybe an issue with that specific mouse. Additionally i can say that to get it to work in the first place i had to look up the differences between USA keyboard and german keyboard layouts. As ingame it seems to use the USA Keyboard layout but my OS and my actual keyboard are german layouts. dunno if that has to do with that exact problem i described in the first place. ingame keybinding is shown onto "=" while in the software bind of logitech it is onto "`" This is independently to if i start M&B with german or english language.

#1 sounds like a non-crpg/warband issue.  It sounds like something is trying to run in the background...I know I've seen that before when I had a virus or trojan on my computer that was trying to do stuff in the background.

to point 2, add the server you want to play on most to your favourites, and it will load it instantly when you go on the favourites tab

does anyone know perhaps a monitoring tool which would me allow to see what program or process takes the focus out of an running program or which would recognize what these background loadings would be. Or is it possible to give somehow from start M&B such a high Prio that this wouldn't happen?

no it wont even with complete new clean installation of M&B crpg, i still have to refresh exactly 3 times. First time i get to Favorites the counter shows 45 servers to search for, he finds perhaps 5 and the counter vanishes with 40 left. At first refresh he only has a server counter of 3 servers he is looking for finding not one. Third refresh the counter is with 6 servers finding one. Forth refresh he shows again 45 server count to search find those i need overall but only 8.

I was 2 hours today in Logitech Support Hotline. deleted old SetPoint Software installed new one, could confirm that the thumbmouse button works fine in other programs as also in Vanilla M&B, starting crpg without launcher still allows me to use the thumb mouse button in the option/controlls to set the keybind by thumb mouse pressing, but at the time i use the launcher to start M&B crpg it wont notice the thumb mouse button press anymore anywhere.
