Will probably never play again after i've finished building this legendary.

I have enough karma for a complete light armor legendary set for my necromancer, sadly, I don't like the look of it, so I got hold of some trans stones and now my exotic 80 armor looks like a rare lvl 25 armor.

That mentality. I don't get it. Getting better loot gives me no enjoyment at all. And I despise MMO's for going down a route where loot is all that matters.

Funny thing is ArenaNet kept saying that gear threadmill is not their goal for GW2

Not that I am bothered by it anymore. Shit, I'm even replaying Vanilla WoW these days, which is heavily gear based

I know. I got fooled by the marketing pitch. So, I guess I won't be buying their products in the future.

Maybe there'll be an MMO that gives me the option to look cool while fighting, instead of looking like generic warrior at tier 8.

I really wish more games would have a separate set of optional vanity armor like Age of Conan hahaha.

Talking about Age of Conan, you won't see a better example of gear to win than that game. While it's awesome in many ways, this is one thing I could not look past. PvP for fresh 80's is beyond frustrating.

It's all a gear grind or an xp grind.  Not sure which one I'd prefer tbh. I guess u know when you've witnessed a good MMO when you don't mind either. the grind would be alot worse in a sandbox MMO then a theme park MMO as well. I guess it would be a change if both xp and gear was completely random. I'd be interested in seeing a game like that.

Btw I was thinking about getting back into this game, how much has it changed since release?

I would say the main change after coming back after a long pause would be the change of daily and laurels. Tbh I think the daily is a bit messy now.

They really need to add an Asia download location. Currently downloading from India which means I am connected to the NA download server. It would be faster to connect me to the European one if your going to refuse to make an Asia server. At least get the country connections right. Unfortunately every country that isn't EU is connected to NA.

Basically means the download is fing slow. I can get 1mb/s on Steam but GW2 is downloading at 40kb/s, which for a 15gb game....well you get the idea.

Yup. So there are no Asia/Oceania download locations and have to play on EU/NA servers as well. Seems like they are kicking themselves in the teeth in terms of market.

But at least if they do this they should do it right. It makes sense for Australia ect to be connected to NA. But not for India, Middle East countries ect ect. It's utterly retarded connecting those to NA instead of EU.

At least I'll be able to play on an EU server, which is reportable fine by guys playing GW in India.

Been playing GW2 regularly for around 2 months now, mainly getting my preferable gear and stuff, used around 90 gold on each of my 3 lvl 80 chars

Got my Charr to level 80, got boring pretty fast.
