The logic of war seems to be that if a belligerent can fight he will fight.

let there be a radius limit in which horses can be whistled so the dismounted rider (in case of he survives his dismount) has to run near a new horse to make it come to him. cav is well effective on tactical battlefield but has high costs aswell.. in my opinion thats pretty balanced

we could add odds for the horse react on a whistle, that are my suggestions

NEVER! There's nothing funnier than fighting someone in a 1v1, whistling for a horse only for it to come by and run over the guy you're fighting.

Remove whistling. Cav should have to equip an ocarina (1 slot) to play enona's song to call horses over.

Voted yes before I saw this.

Disregard the fact that this horse is probably very close to his owner and that ingame you can just whistle for any horse no matter who they belong to because Horses in this game are pretty much personal vehicles with no mind of their own with 4x4 wheels able to go on all terrain.

If you whistle for a horse you should have to answer a riddle to make the horse come over
I voted Gurnisson cause of his fucking bendy pike, I swear noone can roflcopter stab like he can.

There are better ways to nerf horses than removing whistling.  Collision damage would be a great start.  It's not like cav isn't the easiest class to play in the game for a reason.

All you have to do is ride around hitting people with an instant kill move that can't be blocked, with the highest mobility in the game and longest reach besides anything other than a pike or flamberg.

Takes zero skill.

The new valor system is slanted in their favor too, so they can ride better horses to support their no-talent, no-skill required lifestyle.

I personally hate cavalry. But i learn to get over it and adapt. The whistling is a realistically fine implementation.

Whistling is fine, gives me another chance to kill the horse and get a free hit on a downed rider. Long Spear ftw.

Whistling was actually accidentally removed a few patches ago... ah, those were the days. But then this foolish dev fixed it back to normal. I liked it, a lot. People were leaving horses alive cause they knew a downed enemy cav from the other side of the map wouldn't be able to get the horse. At the moment when I see a stray horse I quickly check if there's allied guy coming for it, if not then kill it. Whistle fights over horses, how retarded is that?
