I'm buying a new PC as I'm off to uni next year, for the sake of ease I've been looking at an all-in-one machine. Price doesn't bother me, I'm more interested with what sort of performance I can expect with the following spec:

PROCESSOR            3rd gen Intel® Core™ i7-3770s Processor (3.10GHz, 8MB)   edit
OPERATING SYSTEM   Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit   edit
Memory                    8192MB (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Memory
Hard Drive            2TB (7,200rpm) SATA Hard Drive + 32GB SSD (Intel SRT)
Video Card            NVIDIA® GeForce GT 640M 2GB DDR5 Graphics Card
CD ROM/DVD ROM    Blu-Ray Combo (BluRay read, DVD/CD read & write) Drive
LCD   27" Non-Touch  Screen (2560 x 1440)

...why do you need a 27" 2560 x 1440 and more than 2 TB of storage?!

He probably wants to install the OS on the 32GB SSD, which is a neat idea, it's blazing fast, even though the technology is pretty "new".

I find the screen overkill though, or is that the standard nowadays? It seems insanely huge from a few screenshots, I'm still using an 1280x1024 square one. lol

I mean I tried playing on an 1920x1080p monitor and it was so damn huge already.
Also, a huge res screen like that is an insane power and VRAM hog.

Well if you got sufficient power supply unit, then it might not be that much of a problem, but still; I find it overkill.
