GTA V is last game in series for current gen consoles. Previous one was released four years ago.

Rockstar North is a huge studio, there's hundreds of people working on GTA games.

In the meantime they produced Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3 (El Noire was developed by Team Bondi).

Engine is the updated version of RAGE, which is already well optimized for PC (Max Payne 3), looks ten times better than in GTA IV and they probably prepared assets for the game during last four years.

I really wouldn't be surprised if console premiere of GTA V is this Christmas season. PC version probably on march 2013.

GTA 4 was quite terrible for the PC. Well, but atleast....the PC version of Max Payne 3 was pretty good, that gives me hope.

Actually after all the patches (except the last one for some reason), the game runs great on pcs. Probably the most technically impressive game I have (with ENB mods for shiny of course).

Heard a rumor that for the console version GTA V will come in 10 discs? Why do i feel this is a troll but at the same time a part of me says it's true?

If it's true maybe GTA V on PC won't be that derpy i guess. But 10 discs?

How could that be useful in any way ? If you go from an island to another, you have to change the disc ? Installing even 2 blurays is already going to kill most console hard drives.

Yeah probably right. Although if the content was on every disc besides one (which would be used as ''playing the game'' on) and the rest just having the content itself whilst you had to download em (a'la WoW).


However, check the graphics. It's better than GTA IV. And Rockstar did a great job back in GTA IV with the graphics on consoles considering it's running on 6 year + old hardware and now the landscape will be bigger than GTA IV + San Andreas + Red Dead Redemption combined.
