Because it's already hard for ranged to earn points and cav are the least caring folks on the battlefield. If you start a swing and he come out of nowhere and you slash his horse you're going to lose a lot of points.

If he bumps you he'll lose less points than you.

i dont really think that ranged shooting friendly cav and losing point for it is a valid reason to remove it...

If you damage/ kill a friendly horse you hurt him almost as much as if you d hit the guy himself...

Not true. Hitting a horse isn't the same as hitting the rider because riders don't die when horse dies and most cav have hybrid inf/cav builds.

Ranged don't shoot at horses on purpose, neither infantry hits horses on purpose. It's bloodthirsty nature of cavalry that puts them in situation to lose a horse.

And thats why damage to a horse is (if i call correctly) only half (or 25%) the points of what it would be on a player.

If an archer shoots a friendly horse its his own fault for shooting it... I'm cav, i don't get a lot of team hits by archers so i dont see the problem, and definitely don't see why it shouldn't be punished :P
