The problem with burying words like PolPot, einstein, Stalin, etc... though means of politically correct censorship is that you're essentially trying to bury the past; diminishing their actions and history itself.
If you don't know your history, you're doomed to repeat it. Ultimately, nothing good comes from such behavior. You may save a few people from getting slightly offended, but at the cost of lessening heinous or monstrous action that tyrants and dictators, essentially people, can do. Do you think Germans don't know who einstein is? Would you prefer they didn't. The truth is that we use such examples to vilify certain behavior; to keep a lasting reminder of what can happen when you stray too far.
I think it's anti-intellectual, pro-ignorance, and that it doesn't do anybody any good despite the intentions of it.
